Man I've been listening to Hardstyle since 2007 and to hear where it's at now. Hardstyle has evolved a whole lot. Like it still sounds like Hardstyle but it's just has become to technical and futuristic sounding. I love it. I can't wait to see what it evolves into next over the next decade

Well, I'm from the first batch...so I got angry when these melodic kicks came in. Lazily overused, and about 2000 exact the same songs followed... Nowadays it has a function, and I learned to appreciate it. I know the sound has to change every few years, but to me these sealkicks/piepkicks are absolutely destroying every vibe left... They're so fuckinh intensely ugly, it's again an easy filler for the lack of actual ideas. A friggin high pitched non-kick for a cheap melody replacement, which allows us to growl each of the 15 drops you'll need for a bit of a story arc. Sounds to me we're moving towards the circus, not away from it. A D-list EDM has comparable talent... Tl:dr (I was happy with the reverbs and gated kicks 😂)

@@Snaakie83 I actually like Piepkicks. I listen to a lot of GPF and Unicorns on Ketamine 😅 I've been into Speedcore, Terrorcore, Uptempo, Extratone for almost as long as I've been into Hardstyle. Those genres has evolved a lot over the past decade and a half now too. Speedcore has gotten more melodic especially with artist like The Quick Brown Fox Terrorcore too has gotten more melodic but also more technical Uptempo has split from Melodic for some to insane like others And Extratone and those others beyond have always been crazy. Unless it's Japanese then it's either Bat shit insane or Beautiful there's no in between
