That entire show is child abuse, and all the adults, including the instructors and events coordiators should be arrested for child exploitation and abuse. Edit: These parents also drug their children tto hype them up, then again to bring them down. Network /tv station and producers should alao be charged, as they're complicit in this child abuse. It's all so sick and wrong.

I work with 3 year olds and its just so confusing for the child to be in timeout without telling them why. All she did was say sorry and lock her in a dark room. Theres mixed messaging in that and it only confuses the child. Not to mention she could be afraid of the dark and now shes locked in there.

Some of these parents excuses are “Oh well she’s still just a tween” but they’re literally 4. How would you feel if you had to go on stage when you’re tired and having a bad day just to be rated like an object. Pageants ugh I hate them

Imagine raising a child placing so much emphasis on her looks that she has a mental breakdown the moment someone asks her if she’s beautiful in the least passive-aggressive, most encouraging tone one could use. I know! I don't understand it, it's really sad the way these children are treated. 😢 I don't know about you, but I would call this abuse. Childern aren't meant to dress up like f*ing adults! They're meant to run around playing with teddies and toys, using their imaginations, and all of that shitaki, not being chased by strange cameras and being abused by their parents for money and f*ing "beauty-scores". It's actually enraging that nobody has stopped all of these goddamn pageants after all of these years, it's just sad. Middle aged parents that are about as good at parenting as my big toe, too gross and sad to fulfill their dreams of being a stupid " pageant-queen", inflicting the pain of having your childhood ripped to shreds in front of your eyes on their poor kids. It's just sad. 😢

Batlover Sings I think it’s really dependent on the age of the child in question. If you’re younger then parents shouldn’t put the responsibility of poop picking up on their children for a variety of reasons, but if the child is old enough then yeah it’s okay. Also, the way the mom used profanities so much while asking her daughter to pick up the poop is inexcusable. There is a way to teach your child to curse responsibly, and using them like that isn’t one of them. She should watch her mouth and be an example for her daughter, not an instigator.

hi, you’re not wrong for upholding this opinion from watching toddlers and tiaras. but at the same time we must realize that it is a reality TV show, they are going to put the absolute most dramatic moments on screen. I must say though that I would not even classify these as real pageants, these are “glitz pageants”. in real pageants, it is never about the way you walk in heels or the artificial hair. typically your score is 60-70% interview, where they ask you questions about your goals, what you’ve done to serve in your community, etc. as far as the pageants i’ve done, it’s more of a sisterhood. i’ve never really witnessed any pettiness or drama unless there’s one bad apple. pageants teach many skills and instill a lot of great assets... such as confidence building, interview skills, public speaking. but as far as parents living out their dreams through their children... this happens in other activities too! such as sports. i would love for you to watch a different pageant other than those on toddlers and tiaras, it may help you form a better educated opinion! :)

Damn, the first time i'm actually kind of proud to live in Germany (in the sense of child abuse thingy). I mean we could also talk about how hard the school in Germany is or how fucked up the school system is (Especially in Bavaria, where I live). And how much pressure they put on children to be "normal"(since you're in kindergarten). Like you can't be too loud, but also you're going to get talked on If you're too quiet. You're expected to just know everything and if you don't... well you should've just paid attention. Most of the teachers aren't even qualified to work with children/teens(which I think should be a requirement to be a teacher). You're just supposed to be a boring /" normal " robot, that has to fit into society , because if you aren't, they're going to make you be like that .

Are we just going to ignore the fact that she LOCKED HER 3 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN A ROOM WITH THE CAMERAMEN BECAUSE SHE DIDNT WANT TO PRACTICE AND WAS BEHAVING “immature”? When I saw her little fingers under that door, I felt to sad like how terrified, scared and sad must have she felt when her own mother pushed her against the floor and ignored her????

To be honest, I felt that horror before... It’s very heartbreaking and the despair, helplessness is just... traumatic... It’s just messed up and you wouldn’t know what to do, except crying to yourself. And when you struggle, it just makes you feel that your desperation is pointless and it would break you down even more...
@mc9725
@mc9725 4 жыл бұрын
And when you know it’s your parents doing these things to you, you would feel like no one could be relying on, because even the people who were supposed to take care of you did nothing but break you. And after every thing, you have to face them, because they are your family, and you’ll still have to listen to them, as they have power over you. If you fight back, you’ll just get broken once again.

These parents shouldn’t have children. They should have animals to show off In contests, not that I even think that’s ok . But seriously children aren’t something you dress up and slap a lot of make up on and make them look and act like adults and parading them if front of potential predators .. this is abuse!! To be honest, if your daughter wants to do something and their dream is to be on a runway, let them do that. But don’t pressure them to be perfect every ten seconds. Don’t lock them in a random room just because they are tired. And if they want to quit, they can quit. That’s what these Karens need to understand.
