It feels like 20 lifetimes ago, but I was the biggest Ride fan back when I was 16/17 years old. I'm in Melbourne, Australia, so it was a little harder to find their stuff. This was pre internet, so it really was a labour of love finding bands you wanted to get to know. It was a whole journey in itself! I wouldn't have the enthusiasm these days!!😅

What a great interview! I really enjoyed watching this. Andy, you are a supercool guy and very inspired and talented musician. I only regret not being able to see Glok in live, as the tour is UK exclusive. Andy, please come back in France, with Ride, Glok, or as a solo artist (your two solo albums are awesome, as well as the remixes and the covers).

Now that the Oasis reunion is official, it would be great to have Andy back because it’s highly unlikely Guigsy would do it, and it would be preferable to have someone with history in the band as opposed to someone new. But it’s totally understandable if Andy would rather stay with Ride and not go back to playing bass. At least I saw him with Oasis twice back in the day. And when I met him after Ride played in Indonesia, I got him to sign my Oasis and Beady Eye CDs and I told him he was the coolest one in the band. And would likely still be if he rejoined, judging by this interview!

Gem and Andy are more talented musicians than Bonehead and Guigsy, plus they both contributed to song writing in oasis, Andy’s “turn up the sun” track on don’t believe the truth is one of the best songs on the album, you just have nostalgia bias pal because Bonehead and Guigsy were part of the oasis golden period.

@@ValfulaTi here we have an example of another one of those guys who’s still living in 1995 and expects Noel to walk around in parkas giving the V sign to press in his 50s, move on lad will you, the 90s were great but they’re long gone 😂
@kiely4561 Жыл бұрын
@@ValfulaTi fella I’m 40 years old, but I do find it funny the way you keep calling me kid as a way of somehow undermining me to cover up a deep insecurity 😂, So which original line up are we talking about?, because Alan white was part of the golden age of oasis but he wasn’t an “original” member either pal lol, I think you’re over estimating how integral Bonehead and Guigsy were, oasis became what they did in the 90s because Noel wrote two of the best rock n roll albums in history and Liam is an incredible front man, of course 94-97 were the best years I’ve never said otherwise you helmet, but to dismiss everything they did post 2000 as terrible just because it wasn’t the same line up running around punching the press screaming mad fer it is quite frankly hilarious, they were never going to top those first two albums but they’ve made some fantastic songs with Gem and Andy, what this shows pal is your lack of maturity and inability to move with the times, you’re just a dusty old dude who’s living in the past who’s never grown up which is evident by how you talk.
