I’m so sorry to hear about Ruby, I can confidently say you care for your sheep better than most farmers, my god parents were sheep farmers, and while they looked after them adequately, they didn’t LOVE them all like you do ❤️ Ruby could not have had a better life, and to be able to live her last days with grass, friends, and no babies is a luxury very few sheep get on a farm. Feel happy you gave her so much ❤️

The smell of rotten lambs has to be the worse thing I have EVER smelt in my life! If you touch that grossness with bare hands you can’t get that stink off, no matter how much you wash and scrub. I pulled dead pieces of triplets out of a ewe one time. That was 35yrs ago and can still remember that stink. I feel for you.

Poor Didi! I felt she was almost in a coma with infection and pain. I am so glad you get to the cause of these problems. I do not understand how a dog can get to this condition when a family pet. Does no one pat or cuddle their dog, just sitting on my sofa watching TV, a person can scratch their dog and as the stroke them feel with their fingers for seeds or ticks or matting in the hair. A happy dog is a dog who is touched. Thanks for your good direction to put the dog on a bench,my little dog is much happier having his nails clipped by me putting him up on the bench and better for my back too. I love how the babies have to learn to be afraid. When they're newborns they're happy to come investigate Sandi's hands and be patted. After a few days loose with the rest of the flock they run away because they've learned that from the ewes.
