Just "one"? 😂 Call me crazy, but I don't think we get to the point where there's multiple (often into double digits, possibly even more) new KZbin videos coming out daily that clearly expose police officers who are violating the rights of citizens ON CAMERA (just imagine how many encounters don't get filmed and/or are covered up by corrupt departments) with it just being "one bad apple" in each department. That phrase is what they like to use to try and distance themselves from accountability. Sorry to burst your bubble, but the issue is FAR WORSE than that. It's a systemic, behavioral issue with the TYPE of people who are typically attracted to law enforcement jobs. Mental health should be the primary focus if/when we ever get around to addressing it. Unfortunately, it would probably require a federal mandate or something to make it happen though. That, and a much better healthcare system than we currently have.

Just want to say, the way they regulate us fishermen with a single rod in the water, it would be nice if they regulated the commercial fishermen with a relatively significant force. As it is, it’s like giving a driver a ticket while a tank runs over an entire interstate. I meant to say too, Bama, you are an absolute pleasure to watch and I’ve learned a lot from your channel. Keep doing this great work, brother!
@Ray56z11 ай бұрын
I work the salt, I also spend nearly as many hours a week on the salt and fresh as recreation. With work I'm far more regulated then as recreation, and don't have a single snivel about when they are doing what the public pays them to do. Every law on the water is availaable to read, every law on the water is easy to follow. I'd rather they were doing their jobs with a-holes and drunks on the water than me having to deal with those same a-holes-because I will in a heartbeat. Seen Bamas' attitude? We were a few decades apart, but while in service we slept and worked the exact same buildings and grounds, and my tolerance level is nearly non-.existent This guy, seemed like he just wanted to avoid someone maybe not knowing the rule, seen Bama did, was spotlocked and coming no further, left. How many don't read signs on the water or streets these days-do you?

Most of the regulations are there for safety. I worked on a fishing boat for 20 years and as long as you had your s+^t together you were all set. In water inspection every other year and out of water inspection the other years. They can be pricks but it’s all about safety. If the boat sinks and you all die. It will eventually come back to the inspector who certified it safe(good to go). On the recreational side on my personal 24ft little boat. I would get Checked multiple times a year. Maybe it was the way we looked or sometimes they are training new personnel. I have everything I need and I know a lot from being on the water and dealing with coast guard inspections for years. And to have some 1st year coast guard cadets or whatever they are pretty much from Kansas not having much knowledge of the ocean. Asking and telling me what I need and why. Kinda made me a little pissed. And after going through everything on their safety checklist I couldn’t find my whistle. And I was perturbed by then. Was obviously a training exercise for the rookies but do it with someone weekend warrior not the guy who’s here every day. Anyway. Sorry. Ranting a bit

Getting a heron land on your boat; That's good luck mate. I bet your fishing picked up over the next few days. Seagulls are another thing. Those dumpster doves are all bad Juju. scare them off fast. Just a thought; open the bale a bit and let them jacks RUN!!! They may be off-season but they are worth the 10-15 minutes of fun with lighter gear or a slightly loose bale. Relax a bit and enjoy the moment. That's what fishing is all about. You shouldn't power pull them up to the surface, the smaller fish could blow a bladder if pulled from any good depth. It's one thing to use big gear, just in case; but don't let the gear take away your enjoyment for the fight.
