Tuscon, Arizona is a city shaped from the land it sits on. From the stately saguaro cacti to the mountains that surround it and even the wildlife that can be seen through the city streets, the connection the people of Tuscon have to their land runs deep. In this episode, we learn why Indigenous mask-maker Louis David Valenzuela, custom off-road crafter Ballistic Fabrication and conservation organizations Native Seeds are using their connection to the land to run businesses that are exclusive to, and thrive only in Tuscon.
And Nowhere Else is a documentary series that travels the world and examines the relationship between where we live and what we choose to create. Subscribe for new episodes every Friday.

Rather interesting. Best parts was the mask maker keeping his tribe/culture going and trying to pass it on. And the native seeds company who are allowing people to go back to their roots and grow, prepare and eat traditional foods their culture/families before them have done. 👍🏻 from me

Tucson is a beautiful area. Lots of metal fabrication jobs. Also alot of heroin junkies. I moved away mostly because of the way people drive there. I never seen anything like it. They will run you over, literally. And the roads are awful. Worst public transportation in the world.

If you’re going to do a documentary learn how to properly pronounce the name of the tribe. It’s borderline disrespectful how this woman is pronouncing Pascua Yaqui.
