Good job! CHI. White pants are tricky. After experimenting different cuts, length, material, I got the same conclusion as you. For white pants, it is better to have a little room than tight fit. It is much more elegant and slimming , also comfortable. The other youtuber I really like (Fashion and Style Edit) recommended to always size one up for white pants. It is tried and true.

I simply avoid them... White is my favourite colour but as pear shaped petite, they just don't work for me. 2/3 of my sweaters/t-shirts/tanktops/pullovers are white anyway 😂

I am 5'4 as well, carry a little weight in the tummy area ,but overall, slim and fit. I never felt right in tapered trousers as they always make me look shorter and stumpy. Tapered pants visually shorten the legs and make the hip look wider. Over the last few years, I gradually cleared out all tapered pants, including trousers, joggers, jeans. Straight leg , boot cut, slightly flared pants, or slightly wide leg pants look so much better on shorter frames, even with low heels (below 2") . They make me look taller, leaner. I got compliments all the time and people thought I am a lot taller than 5'4".

Pretty good, bit wrong about pleats. Pleasts and double breasted buttons always widen. What works instead is the looser *material* not pleats. In the photo you compare right denim with loose silky cut pants. That's the difference. Avoid pleats.
