rudy gobert is the caliber player the clippers may want (they need rim protection), but i don’t think the clippers would pull the trigger on that trade. they already struggle to stay healthy, so sacrificing their depth is def not a good idea. i think norman is exactly what they needed- and he looked great playing alongside PG in the limited time we saw them together. why throw that away so soon? they also need luke’s shooting (best % in the association) and he’s only gonna get more open looks with all the attention on kawhi/pg/powell. the only moves i see the clippers doing is just dumping marcus morris’ contract and trying to find a FA in the buyout market. i think they should just keep their roster & run it back. the only thing stopping them is health tbh.

I actually like the Brogdon to Atlanta trade. If anything was clearer after this recent playoff run, Atlanta needs to do SOMETHING to take pressure off of Trae doing everything on offense. Brogdon is a really good combo guard who can defend, shoot the ball and playmake, plus you get Buddy Hield who's probably coming off the bench or starting at the 3 with Hunter at the 4.
@andrijastimac85482 жыл бұрын
But... collins is really really good lmao
@tonyschimmoeller2 жыл бұрын
Nothing you said was wrong, but the Hawks would then have Trae, Brogdon, Hield, Bogdonavic, and whoever else they sign at the guard (Wright possibly returning) making over 100 mill a season for 2 positions. They can maybe handle 3 positions on certain matchups but none of them are elite defensively.
@jbb95192 жыл бұрын
What you said is fair but the value is totally off. They could et at least a first back for giving Collins and Huerter for Brogdon and whoever it was. Collins has more value than Brogdon due to him being younger, better, and on a long deal. Huerter has more value than Hield because he is similar to Hield (catch and shooter) but he is young and on a better contract.

For Huerter and Jalen Johnson sure but John makes up a good part of the frontcourt depth. OO can't be out there alongside Clint, Hunter is too small to play 4, and it's not a guarantee that Jalen can get his weight up and improve in the same trajectory as Collins. John was shooting good numbers in Wake Forest and was 1st team ACC while Jalen wasn't even the best player on last year's Duke team. Should have bitten the bullet with the Pacers when Myles Turner and Sabonis were both unhappy.

Yeah raptors have such shallow guard depth and GTJ is a legit shooter and iso scorer on a playoff team. Grant literally checks zero of the boxes the Raptors are looking for in the offseason. i’m of the opposite opinion on the Christian Wood/James Wiseman deal. if i’m the warriors, i’d be salivating at the opportunity to have another big man with defensive talent, big offensive potential/upside, and who’s young enough to keep the youth. play him behind or even alongside Draymond for a season, and if you make a deep playoff/championship run that year, that’s enough to convince Wood to stay and keep developing alongside Draymond. James seems a bit risky to me, but i still think Houston could benefit from him. Moody seems like more a project player to me, someone who could potentially take YEARS to mold into the player you’d want. seems like a pretty sizable step back for Houston if you ask me.

As a Pels fan, if Jax grows to his potential he could be a crazy decent wing player for a team like the Sixers, with Harden feeding him and Embiid hogging most of the attention

I love Steven Adams as a player but he is not the kind of guy you pick up to build a team. He's the kind of guy you pick up when you need a decent center and character guy for a team that's already going to be in the playoffs but wants to try to go farther. He's been used well in the past in that role and I think that's a really good fit in Memphis but I could easily see them moving on from him if they feel like they can handle that role by themselves now. Think he would make sense playing for the Magic. . If the jazz get rid of Rudy Gobert maybe they could use Steven Adams.
