@@dave_8600while I agree it’s weird, the logic is that because people crack a bunch of collector packs the “normal” rares and stuff that is harder to find in those collector packs outvalue them cause they’re rarer then full or extended arts, that be my only guess

Aven Interrupter taxes Plot, Foretell, Cascade, Discover, and casting from the Graveyard or Exile in general. All very relevant nowadays. It’s so good.

Interrupting the instant side of an Adventure card and then taxing the creature side is great. There are some really great and relevant adventures that see consistent play.

The real reason aven interruptor is driven more competitively is due to the fact that it plots the card, which only allows it to be played at sorcery speed. Therefore it is actually a great defense against counter spells because now they can only cast that counter spell on their turn, essentially making it useless.

I completely disagree with your aven interrupter take. IMO its more friendly than a traditional counter spell, yeah they have to pay 2 more to cast but at least it doesnt go to their graveyard

In my opinion if aven get you upset in a cedh game then you never played against a mono blue cedh deck before. You have much to experience, and none of it will make you happy. I like aven it gives non blue decks a chance to be important on the stack.

Does "Retun the Favor" go infinite with Kalamax by targeting the copy trigger?

I don't believe so. Kalamax's ability specifically states that it only copies the first instant you cast every turn if he's tapped. If you copy that ability it won't do anything since his ability has that limiter on it. I could be wrong.

I have Goldvein Hydra in my Zaxara, The Exemplary deck (A mix of X spells, hydras and tyranids), I had CorpseJack Menace out for doubling +1/+1 counters, Made Goldvein a 16/16. got to trade with a huge DeathTouch creature. Got 16 treasures which then Parallel Lives doubled into 32!! Now imagine I had Branching evolution or Doubling Season out or even Unbound Flourishing on the board as well to manipulate his power or the Treasure Tokens! (while Unbound doesn't double tokens or counters like the others, it DOES DOUBLE THE VALUE OF X! Then apply any +1/+1 counter doublers of course!) This was my 1st time playing him and i haven't even seen it at full potential!

Been working on an absolutely optimized Vorinclex, MR +1/+1 counters deck for months. I would wholly recommend adding Railway Brawler to your Hydra deck. Being able to hide the Brawler in Exile by Plotting it is having a Counter-doubler you can sit on until you’re ready to stomp on any Counter/Removal efforts. Got a Hydra Tribal I let Selvala, HoW Commander for, and Steely Resolve is one of my favorite cards there.

@@shawnpanzegraf5642 I def give it a shot. My Zac deck is at the point where it's hard to find what to take out as it's pretty top or best in slot like cards. And yeah I got Selvala HoW in there. Love making huge X spells with her if not hydras. Torment of Hailfire for 30 anyone?!

@@danielbratton7043 I hear you, and you’ve got it worse fixing for Sultai. Are those the colors you play most often? On the rare occasion I step outside of Mono Green territory, it’s just a short skip into Simic or Selesnya. I keep kicking around the idea of going into Bant for Chulane, but everyone just rolls their eyes at me. (Which is saying something, seeing as how often Vorinclex, MR, Kodama of the East Tree, Goreclaw, Toski, or Old Gnawbone are my contributions to a table.)

In my opinion, saying not to play a card (like aven interrupter) because they are going to hate you, is a very childish excuse, part of magic is knowing how to adapt to different cards and having interaction for any type of danger, if you don't like a card, bro, play removal and take care of that, but saying don't play this because it's too strong is very pathetic, grow up or go play something else

@@glubgawd7393 Yes, but this is not the case, its that mentality magic players are having that being budget, means cards are bad or worse. Whether you play a sheoldred or an common creature card, the same removal card eliminates them both, regardless of whether one costs 80 dollars and the other 30 cents.
