These new Twitch bans are wild.

Fellow Legends, welcome! Today we discuss some recent events over on Twitch. By recent events, of course I mean the wave of bans over Twitch Bits of all things. There's definitely something going on here, and I'm curious if this foreshadows more issues going on behind the scenes. But, that's strictly conjecture.

Twitch itself had made a tweet saying these bans are removed and had acknowledged these were unjust and made in error. Twitch rarely admits fault so it's good to know they know even this was fucked up

The problem is that although Yt and Twitch kind of compete with each other, they do so more in a case the way ISP's do it.

You know.. I was planning a VTuber debut on a brand new channel in 2025, but with everything that's been happening both on KZbin and Twitch as of late (especially with what's happening to Vtubers) I'm now very scared and paranoid to do so.. Hopefully, everything gets fully sorted out before then.. but I doubt it. = (

I'd honestly try KZbin over Twitch. Depending on what you are doing, just keep it as transformative as possible.

KZbin is better for growing your channel but twitch has better infrastructure.

As a 3D Art Vtuber who's been on the platform for almost a year, this is definitely scary territory. But thankfully I'm not making enough money from ads to call Twitch a job. If my channel gets yeeted tomorrow, yeah it'll suck- but I can still move to KZbin streaming. I'm sure there's a misunderstanding somewhere but it's gonna really suck for people who depend on streaming full-time.

I’m happy being creative and going into the projects I am. Streaming seems so… idk what word I want to use. I’m told I’d be great at yapping, gaming, making jokes and being entertaining. But it seems so tedious I think I’m ok doing what I love offline mostly.

speaking of twitched botting issues, one of my vtuber friends got follow botted during his stream and he had to lock down the chat and increase the security on his channel it just sucks that it's an issue along with the Twitch bit bans that Twitch is having so many issues

I wonder if this might have something to do with a video I saw a year or two ago about how you could buy bits etc in one currency with a vpn and then the payout in your native currency that works in your favor. Or at least something to that effect. Dan Clancy got in touch with Asmongold and friends about botters like fextralife using the Twitch extension on their crap websites to bot there without detection and get ad revenue. So maybe this is an extension of that line of thought and it didn't work well in how they tried to resolve it.
