You just have to build the team to directly counter the enemy team. Seen it done too much to know it works. Most people just don't want to put in even that much effort, unfortunately.

Its more about the mid spenders, alot of mid spenders spent on this game thinking it isn't as p2w as it will soon become. they basically got scammed of their dollars which they would otherwise spend elsewhere and mid spenders makes up the bulk of the playerbase. this is an appropriate situation for a class action lawsuit imo.

One of my former friends that was a degenerate gacha player said he couldn't get into AFKJ because he didn't feel "far ahead of me enough" after whaling like crazy in the game when I was a low spender, so there's whales who actually are turned off by this 😂😂

This is their strategy to make the whales spending even more money in the game… Sadly, most of mobile games with multiplayer modes ends up going through this direction. If mid spenders were challanging whales by using strategy before, with this new update will be impossible to do any of that. Whales will play in their own league now. I don’t even bother to compete with others, because the one that spends more money will always have the advantage against mid/ F2P players, so i just focus on the main story and appreciate the maps and new characters they release every update.

Jesus, the Paragon system was already pretty bad as it was. Not only did it give a significant boost in pvp, but it was also prohibitively hard to get or expensive. New players basically have no chances in pvp i they aren't whales , and even light spenders and old f2p will get crushed. Instead of making more fun content, fixing the broken reward distribution, or updating the Hero pull mechanics to make it more adjustable, they did this...

They are basically telling F2P, low to mid spenders up yours. You can't get into top 10 in pvp anymore only high spenders and whales belongs there. This is why people quit this game, they have problems fixing issues instead of fixing it they just want more issues with the game. While I've spent over $1200 dollars for this game so far, I am no where near what whales have spent on their account. I am at P1 where whales are at P3 and P4's in my district. This game also punishes people who take breaks from the game, you have to log on daily to stay competitive, if you take 2 weeks off for vacation/holidays you'll fall behind in DreamRealm and pvp. So it's back to catching up for a month of daily log in to get back to being competitive with the rest of the people who are on daily.

The stat boosts are fair, but do away with inspiration, and intimidation (or greatly reduce how much they are giving). I think those two stats just make it too much. I see what they were trying to go for, but those two stats just make it too over the top as they currently stand. Maybe keep them, but only make them 1% each paragon? Idk... kinda depends on how they work, but as they are, it's definitely too much.

This game already started dying months ago. I've played since April last year, I can't count how many people that are on my friends list have since left the game. There are actually servers where there are only a handful of players are still on they are called dead servers. I am actually thinking of quitting this game myself, I am no F2P i've spent around $1200 dollars. But I need a break from daily log in and the grind. This game punishes people who if they go on vacation or long breaks and if they come back they will be left behind in Dream Realm or Arena etc.. It forces you to log on to do dailies if you want to stay competitive.

So quick math on P1 to S+ because you have no intimidate or inspire it offsets by 12% (6 for each) which is a fair chunk. That P3 stat though for the mega whales will just be insane. No way you can overcome like a 20%+ deficit. Arena will be a major feature as you can buy the red essence from the arena store to make your hero's ex weap skill better so making them better for PvE as well just from PvP.

It's 6% per paragon they have is it not. If it's just having a paragon on the team in general it's probably fine as the difference between 0-1 1-2 is surmountable with smart placements. If it's was I though as the buff is per unit then it would be game ending as a full team of p4 would give you negative 100% energy regen

So a whole team of P1 hitting a whole team of S+ the difference would still only ever be 6 or 12% depending on if the stats stacked. If the team had 1 P1 hero that hero would not be affected but the other 4 would be. Will have to see when it goes live to be sure.

It’s worse. It’s 7% PER P1. Meaning if you have 5 P1 vs 5 S+ you’re looking at a 35% cut in healing, shielding, buffing, AND energy. While the P1 is also gaining by the same amount. This is confirmed in VN AND customer service.

If they are going to do this they should implement a new way servers work and have a progression server to keep it even for people. You could have all servers work like they do now but once you hit paragon you move to a server that's a layer of only other people with say three paragon characters on their account. Once you get to having three characters reach paragon two you move to a new layer of people with paragon two characters and so on . This would give people starting out a fair starting place as well as F2P vs P2W . It is no fun being the person that's just getting trucked by someone that's so much higher as well as its no fun to be the person that's so much stronger that you are killing people with out the chance of ever losing. There is no competitive nature in that it takes away all competition versus strategy when you have someone so much higher. I play a lot of World of Warcraft and while PVPing there is nothing fun about a level 80 versus a level 20 the level 20 has no chance and the level 80 has no reason to even consider anything there's nothing fun about that. So in this aspect of this game it's taken away all competitiveness and any kind of chance for people to compete. Where if you had it broken down to the layers you'll be competing against people that were your same investment level as well as having a chance of implementing new strategic play styles

It just seems so short sighted. Whales complain that they didn’t get enough power for their spending but now p4+ players can place their units literally on any tile and win. PVP was already mostly the whale game mode, this just makes it entirely whale game mode. With them adding that "play your own way" system to ostensibly even out the rewards regardless of which game mode you want to play, this should be fine - assuming that system is implemented at the same time. But has it? I haven't heard any update on that.

I've only been playing this game for about two months, but I've already spent a significant amount of money on it. It's an incredibly expensive game, especially if you aim to "pay and win." The main issue is that you need to level up nearly everything, as different game modes are designed to favor different heroes. This forces you to invest in almost all aspects of the game. The in-game currency versus what you receive in return feels like a rip-off. The costs are extremely high, and you need to make large purchases to notice any significant progress or climb the rankings. That said, I've observed that the gap between being in the top 5 and the top 10-or even the top 20-is not that huge. This creates a situation where spending a lot of money doesn't guarantee a massive advantage, as regular players can still catch up. To maintain a competitive edge and stay on top, you'd need to spend heavily and consistently-often €60 to €120 almost every day.

stuff like this is basically just propping up a failing system. they dont have good ideas of keeping players long term. once someone gets max levels, max equipment, max everything, they have nothing to do and get bored. the game has nothing else to do, and actually keeps them from doing things they want to do. both arenas, dream realm, even fishing have limits on chances. afk stage has a wall too which is basically time (time to level up). they have no idea of how to balance p2w and f2p content without propping up with stats. throw strategy out the window and just bust out your credit card

I get both sides, but I do feel the reasoning for increasing the strength of paragon. if you are going to play a gacha game as f2p you know what you're getting yourself into when it comes to pvp, as I do with the other games I play f2p, and as a heavy spender in this game, I've always kinda felt that I did not have nearly enough power for how much I've spent, but you just kinda deal with it because you like the game anyway, though I have shifted to very low spending for that and other reasons. The rivalry stat bump up as a baseline isn't that much but the inspiration and intimidation make it so you're less likley to randomly lose to a non paragon team just because of something like this last season mauler tiles, which happened often, with the right setup you could beat a heavy spenders team with just s+ units because of how strong the mauler tiles were, and thats just not right. Now you can argue that that is a flaw in the faction tiles balance and I fully agree with that, Even using them myself I hated the effect the mauler tiles had on the meta, but at least this actually makes paragon meaningful in pvp. Is it too much? possible, but future tuning could happen with a reduction from 1% per point to 0.5% per point or whatnot.

my P1 heroes get slapped just like they were s+, really i cant see the difference between P1 and s+. With this update at least they will be a bit stronger. Everyone is thinking about the whales, but also low spenders and free to play can get paragons if they play long enough and if they decide to focus on them. The thing is that with this update, going for paragons is a choice that actually makes sense. Because for how the game is now, going for paragon, if you are not a whale, is just the wrong decision, as P1 and even P2 heros are basically s+ heros. I wouldnt say the game is ruined because of this change, if in this new year they are going to increase the essence, the reward etc etc, both whales and f2p will win.
