👋 Hello, and I could live without a phone. I'm amazed at the people who regardless of where they are, they have to check their phones, talk or text, etc . . . Yul Brynner was a Russian born actor who died of cancer in 1985. He was a terrific actor and was probably best remembered for his portrayal of King Mongkut in the stage musical The King and I. In between his stage performances, he was getting chemo. One performance a man in the front row was on his phone. Brynner stopped performing and he told the man he will wait until he's done because his chemo is making it hard for him to remember his lines - and he was disrupting his concentration. All that said, political views have destroyed a lot of actors/actresses - just look what it did to Jane Fonda. To this day - American veterans can't stand her. I think it's time we turn off those actors who are pushing political agendas.

Because I travel long distances on my own - I have my cell phone with me for protection. On FRIDAY of last week, a coolant hose in my engine burst. I was miles from any help on a two lane road with no shoulder to pull off onto, but because I had my cell phone with me-I was able to describe to my auto mechanic exactly what was happening moment by moment , how far I had to drive before I could pull over safely, and arrange for a tow truck to pick up my undriveable car and take it to my mechanic on a flatbed truck. I would have been in a lot of trouble without my cell phone. I also use my old cell phones without a SIMS card to download audio books that I listen to whenever I drive anywhere, listen to at night to help me stay asleep. So I do use my cell phone a lot.

I think that this is part of the reason why there are no longer the big stars of yesteryear. They spout their political views and it kills the magic. They become common.
