I was at a movie theater a couple years back and found a lady‘s wallet with over $5,000 in it. I didn’t trust the theater to do the right thing, so I rummaged through the damn wallet and found that the lady had put a found card in there with her number on it. So obviously I called her and told her were I could meet her. When I met her she was crying because that money was for her daughters college tuition. She tried to give me a big tip, but I said I had already received one. Always do the right thing when no one‘s looking.

I'm so proud of these honest kids and people for returning the money they found. Not a lot of people would. When I was 16 on vacation in Waikiki Hawaii with my dad I returned a wallet that fell out of a man's back pocket. I ran, picked it up and got the man's attention. I thought he would thank me for my good deed. Instead he snatched his wallet from me with force and looked through it like I took something from it. I got accused of pickpocketing him! 😲😢 I was disgusted by him yelling at me. I thought he was going to hit me too. Thank God my dad and other people saw it happen and defend me. I was so upset by his behavior that I started to cry. My dad cussed him out along with other people. It taught me to be careful when returning things. I return things I find, but keep my distance when meeting the owner because of this situation. Not everyone is a good person. Sometimes people set these types of situations up to con you in the end. Be careful!

Obviously that guy wasn't that intelligent. Why would someone pickpocket, then immediately give it back? But I can't tell you the amount of times I haven't been thanked. I saw a lady drop a $20, and gave it back to her, got no thanks. I've given back money to cashiers who overpaid me. Received no thanks. Even though I saved their job. So now I just keep the money. Maybe they'll work the cash register better at their next job.

Years ago I was going to the public pool with my family. On the way, we stopped at one of those ice machine hut things, and got a bag of ice. When we got to the pool, I went to grab cash to get in, and noticed my wallet was missing... I was so devastated, I didn't have much in it, but it was the only cash I had to live on for the next 2 weeks. I raced back to the ice machine, and it was gone.. we just went home, and about 10 minutes later, this random truck pulls into the cul-de-sac, and something told me, they're here for you. I swung the door open, and raced to the truck. This amazing couple had found it, and brought it to the address on my ID. I was crying, I was so grateful.. I will never forget that, it truly did show me how some people can be honest, and wonderful.

Not money, but when I was about 8 I was at a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. Back then they had coins for the games, not the card thing. A kid about my age dropped all his coins and said “grandpa pick all those up while I play this” and just went to play a game. My mom and dad always told me to pick things up for old people, so I went and helped him pick it up. The old man said “you picked it all up, so you can have it” and handed me the cup with all the coins in it!

He gave me a $100 & I was like no it's the right thing to do even regardless of my financial situation. He replied you didn't have to give it back. I said yes because I seen it come from your pocket. I know I just wanted to do right by myself, GOD, & my girls. Because I believe somethings I do in life can & will fall on my children. Plus it could've been his bill money & I know how it feels to struggle paying your bills. Plus I don't want anyone to feel the pain I'm experiencing.

Bravo 👏 to these parents for raising their children with respect and morals. Most likely anyone else finding it the parents would just keep it..😒 Teaching their children it's okay to just take things that don't belong to you.

My daughter was a competitor swimmer. She was in the swimming pool everyday. She found a lot of wallets, phones in the changing room over the years. One day was a record. Three wallets and Iphone. Of course always everything returned to owners. Every time people were happy and never rewarded her. I think people should reward kids to do right thing. Even small chocolate will make them happy.

Hey, something like this happened at my sister's graduation! We were getting ready to leave when I found a wallet on the floor, I looked inside and found an ID and started yelling the dude's name out loud in case he leaving. Thankfully he was near the exit with his family taking pictures, so I hurried over and gave it to him before he left, talk about lucky!

I will do the same thing, too. When I was little that I found a dollar bill on the floor at Sears. I was looking for a person that dropped it but, my mother made me keep it. Someone left a wallet at the front desk at my local Y once but, I did returned it towards the front desk for safe keeping. I even found a red cell phone in a restroom stall in Walmart. I brought the cell phone towards the service desk there. I think it is not the right to keep the money to spend it. Even bring it to the police department that is close by,too.
