They really deserve more rest and sleep. About the Tesla driver, yes, it can drive itself but I think you still need to pay attention about your surroundings and not literally be asleep.

The funny thing about the tesla driver: You need to apply a slight turning force every so often,or the car just slows to a halt,he either A:had a perfect driving record with the tesla,unlocking the full self driving beta or B:somehow still had a firm grip on the wheel in his sleep

My husband and I flipped our Jeep Patriot falling asleep at the wheel. We had our 3 month old son in the car with us. We were both exhausted from all the doctors appointments and the constant 2-3 hour feedings. We both fell asleep and woke up seconds before the car landed upside down. We were all uninjured, thankfully, but the paramedics said that if we flipped once more, none of us would be here. The roof was completely smashed in and I had glass shards flying at my eyes. The pavement was 3 inches from my face. I still can't believe we made it out alive.

I had that experience once when I was a kid, I slept in a hotel room with the tv on and two men came barging into the room waking me up. The guy with the Tesla and falling asleep behind the wheel while the car is in motion may have sleep apnea. He needs a sleep analysis to get a CPAP to get quality sleep. I used to be bad at falling asleep behind the wheel because of sleep apnea. When I began to drive, I struggled to stay awake because I was locked in a position with limited action and the fatigue from not having a quality sleep, no matter how long I slept. So, just because technology allows for a self-driving car does not mean you can sleep behind the wheel. The man is in denial or doesn’t realize he had a sleep issue because he had been cited for more than once by the police. He’s not only a danger to himself but to the public at large.

Once upon a time, around last year i was working 80 hours a week and taking care of my cat with cancer at home by myself. I could only get about 4 hours of sleep a night because her medication, feeding her, helping her stay clean, appointments about every other week, and work from 5:30am- 10pm. I managed to fall asleep standing up at work. I was washing some dishes and just asleep standing up. My manager shook me awake. :/

Finding sleeping persons in a car, especially with closed windows, is scary! I found my brother sleeping in his car. I almost thought he was dead and was ready to break his window right before he woke up. Another time a random guy parked his car in our driveway, windows down, sound asleep. Luckily he woke up after we shook him a few times. He was drunk and decided to “pull over to sober up”. Ladies and gentlemen, please always make sure the car is empty, Stay safe and avoid sleeping in the car with windows up!

My youngest brother was like that, I remember we knocking on the door, shouting his name but he won't wake up for 30min. Happened twice, where my dad borrowed a ladder from our neighbour, climbed to the 2nd floor window to get inside, the other where I climbed to wake him up (his bed was near the window and it was open). It's not unusual to sleep on the pavement where I live, especially drunkards from town sleeping anywhere, from stairs to a flat concrete roof extension of a building.

I remember we were renovating our house when we were kids & we were sleeping in our parents room. My brothers went upstairs & for some reason locked the door & fell asleep.
