My biggest complaint on Plano is, if you do a lot of fishing like I do, and have tons of boxes in your boat, eventually the Clear tops get scratched up and cloudy. The box themselves are in good shape. You have to "Magic Mark" each one instead of depending on looking through the top lid. Great video's!

I took the yellow spike mat out of my boxes and use them as storage for scents/gloves, etc. Still great waterproof boxes. A couple of the mats stay on the bench to hold stuff I'm working with at the time. I also use a couple of the boxes with the mats in to hold high end lures that are not going on the boat that day. Great video for folks that really want to see what the Edge boxes are all about. By the way, the Spybait box is GREAT for holding #5 and #7 Ripping Raps. It will work with the #9 also.

I upgraded to Edge boxes a few years ago, can't say they are perfect, but they are good enough and offer me everything I want and need in a box. I even like the bright colors to make them easier to spot in low light conditions

Love the Plano edge box’s but only the flex and the regular box everything else not a fan, especially there jig box that I wish I never picked up. Just picked up the new rapala 3600 foam box and that’s what I use for my swim jigs, football jigs and other jig alike.

yeah I don't like that kind of crank box... I had some of the Gruve boxes and abandoned those. Gruve make a good jig box, but I hated the crankbait box because they all would pop out of there. Not exactly the same as this but very similar idea. Had the same issue with hooks snagging too. Love the Edge boxes in general though. Especially the terminal boxes.

Aye Tackl junky absolutely so rewarding to see a fresh new tackle junky upload , yesterday morning i caught my 1st 2 Pound ish Largmeouth bass on my 1st baitcaster using the googan squad micro zinger spinner bait with willow leaf and colorado blades while in the middle of a severe thunder lightning storm , i came running inside the house with a 2 pound Largemouth bass still on the spinner bait showed my mom and she said why you look like youre about to break tears , to which i said cause my 1st Largemouth Bass on my 1st bait caster on the spinner bait for the 1st time this year , i wanted to full heartedly thank you for helping me get my bait caster dialed , to me it felt so rewarding to know that after 2 and half months of hard work and going out there using the bait caster that i finally was able to be rewarded with that 2 pound Largmeouth bass . also Ps , Dont go fishing in the middle of a severe thurnderstorm because 13% to 18% of deaths have occured while fishing in thunder storms , i did it because i had about all i could take of being inside the house after 30 - 45 minutes , also takle junky happy birthday sir

Plano Edge - Best Storage Gear you can buy I upgraded all my storage boxes to Plano Edge Pro Terminal (4ea X 3600 & 4ea X 3700), and Plano Edge Flex (2ea x 3600 & 2ea 3700) I also bought a boatload (no pun intended) of the hook and retainer boxes/holders (about 90 in all). And I am buying 4ea of the 3700 Slim boxes that also use the retainers/holders next week. I have never been happier with a storage and protection system for fishing. Every year for the past 40+ years I have had to replace "expensive" terminal tackle from rust and corrosion every spring. There is nothing I hate more than having to replace unused equipment year after year. Well, NO MORE! With the rust restrictor, water seals, and secondary retainer/boxes, my gear stays safe and rust-free even when surf fishing. Triple protection from sand and salt. I have had ZERO issues with rust or corrosion this, for the first time in over 40 years of fishing. But that is not the best part of the Plano Edge system, I finally have total organization and storage. I know where my gear is all the time using the labeling system. Every size and type of hook, sinker, split shot, snap, swivel, lure, bobber, WELL just every darn piece of gear I have now has a permanent place. I use my Plano Mossy Oaks 3600 to carry my Bass, Crappie, and Panfish gear. I use my Plano Guide Series 2.0 Tackle Bag 3700 series bag for Salt gear. I'll put up some pictures if I find a way. All my gear is so perfectly stored, secured, protected, and easy to access, and is a dream. I promise if you buy a Plano Edge Pro 3600 or 3700 terminal box, you won't go back to those cheap storage boxes.

I hate these. It started with the the little legs on the bottom. They made it hard to remove my boxes from storage or bags. Then I had one that I made the mistake of leaving one on deck in the sun and it warped. The jig box didn’t hold jigs properly. The last box I used is the terminal box. I like the storage boxes in it. But the open areas don’t hold small things well. Several times I found it open in boat storage. For the life of me I can’t latch one handed. The latches to me are fumbley. Just ordered a new Flambeau terminal box last night. Hoping it does better.

I love the Edge Flex boxes. Got 4 3600 and 2 3500 boxes for my co angler bag. I keep all my extra baits in standard plano boxes but I am able to adjust my boxes for every BFL I fish and adjust the compartments as needed based on baits. The 4500 boxes I use for my terminal tackle that I need for each tournament and since space is at a premium in those it keeps me from bringing to much terminal tackle then I would need.

I was very close on going with Plano Edge boxes, but I went with Buzbe boxes instead. What sold me was they have a start set of 6 boxes (4 with trays and 2 w/o trays). Another was they supposedly able to float, I'm a kayak angler and figure that would be handy.

Since you have a lot of the flex box leftover dividers. Buy the crank box and take out the yellow spikes. It’s the same box as the flex and use your extra dividers. Save me a bunch of money.

I loved all my Plano Edge boxes but the hook box. I feel like Plano made some innovative and excellent designs; especially the terminal tackle box. I think the Edge is very durable but heavy., You are SOOOOO right about the inserts on the Flex! Way too many!

Awesome review! I totally agree that the FLEX is the best Edge box -- so versatile! And the terminal box is my second favorite. And I TOTALLY use hook bonnets on all my hard baits. No tangles, no punctures (in my fingers). The hardest part is taking the bonnets off -- I use my pliers, putting the jaws in the bottom opening and pulling it off. For me, that's the safest technique. I put the bonnets back in the tackle box, in my vest pocket, or in an H-Rail Mini-Bin. Hope all your birthday fishes come (came?) true! I gave the Plano Edge boxes a try when I got them on sale a while back from Amazon & Tackle Warehouse. I bought the 3500 and 3600 flex/terminal tackle versions. What I found was 1. They look good 2. Their too thin 3. Their not 100% waterproof as they claim to be. 4. The plastic lids scratch easy. 5. You have to fiddle with the latch to get them to close correctly. But hey, I really wanted to like them-lol

Those hard plastic boxes always crack or break just give me the 3700 deep or regular they are cheaper and when worn just replace. Not to mention just easier to store

I only like the normal ones with normal compartments and the flex compartment one. The jig one is too short, the weedguard gets bent out. Those peg ones are waste. Fit way more in a normal one

I’ve been using Plano for over 4 Decades and always liked them and still have my small plastic Plano Tackle Box from the late 70’s, that durability. I get the 3600’s from Walmart for about 5 bucks and man they slide in a pack real easy. I like those little Treble covers a lot, trebles get caught on everything they touch it seems like lol. Knock on wood, I’ve never had any issues with this box for lipless. Lipless baits are definitely the number one, and quite possibly, the only effective use for this style box.

I need to invest in more edge boxes. I have a huge tackle collection, like most ppl who watch shows like this- and I've gotten to a point where I take long breaks from fishing. I took all of last season off- didn't go once, which means all that expensive tackle needs better long term storage. I just burned myself out man- I went every day for over a year, almost two years- literally. I missed only the days where it stormed all day and was too severe to consider getting on the water. Yes, my fishing improved massively- but I also got burned out- I no longer felt anything when I caught one. I got to where I would purposely use what I considered crazy lures- really big stuff, trying to make it more of a challenge and catch only stuff that was impressive to me. I was sick of catching 1-3 pound bass over and over again. Now I realize there will be at least a handful of guys who read this and think "Not me, I would never burn out..." guess what guys, I thought that exact same thing. You will, you're only human- and humans get used to doing the same thing over and over and over- and it's no longer exciting or challenging. And this is coming from someone who didn't really catch a ton of fish- I don't mean to make it sound that way- I just went so much that it didn't matter whether I caught 2-3 or 30- it felt the same. I will admit that a big part of it was also not having different bodies of water to get on- I got sick of going to the same places. Would've helped if I could've mixed it up more but- I fish alone on a kayak and don't have a lot of money or time.

I like the edge boxes. I only one the one for my chatterbaits but it’s a killer design and I do like the dividers you get. The only real downside I’ve found is the price. It’s a bit painful but it’s worth it

I have my jerkbaits in the same one you had yours in originally. I don’t mind it I just wish it was more shallow, just seems like a lot of wasted space. Also the hooks catching on the pegs can be quite annoying. Most boxes I have now are the flex or deep which I really like. I’m a fan of the terminal box. The cons I have with these boxes is the jig box needs improvement, needs to be slightly taller and fit different sized jigs better. Again the “pegged box” designed for jerkbaits would be nice. But lastly I like the spot they have for labels, but why can’t they include one on the side for labeling so you can see what they are if your stacking the boxes end on end instead of top to bottom
