Korg should hire the guys from hyper synth to upgrade there M1 sounds and put them in the Legacy collection . Korgs reverbs really shine in these patches also , enjoyed listening to the patches.

I love it! The 1,100 new sounds are v. Nice. Especially the pads and bass. Looking forward to them bringing out a multi-ROM card to go with it. (They said on Facebook they will be in the near future).

Back from tour so I can catch up on this now! Wow there are some amazing sounds on that card! Lots of big soundtrack sounds and some nice ambient things. I always love those Korg motion sounds/samples too. Very cool that they have been doing this with other synths.

@@Simon-ui6dbWhy would they need to? The VST already comes with all the add-on cards Korg made for the M1. Even the EX & T-Series sounds. Most of the other cards were data cards and can be loaded right in as the VST supports sysex (something their Triton VST should have also supported but doesn't). And there's no memory limit in the VST either so you can load tons of sound banks. The VST is excellent. I've effectively replaced my two M1 keyboards with the VST. The only thing really missing, is both of my M1's have the great Invision Plus 1 boards internally added to them. Korg should try to find a way to obtain the rights to those great sounds. I had decent luck sampling some of them using Sample Robot. I still have my two M1's, but I'll likely be selling them as soon as the prices climb to the levels I would expect such a classic synth to. Maybe I'll keep one, but I haven't really felt I need them anymore with the great M1 VST and lots of other great VST's and my Montage sounds. They came out with a card a few years back that added the ability to load samples into your M1 using your PC. It was interesting, but came out way too late. If that had come out years ago, it would have been great, but I've moved on and have those abilities on my laptop sampler or Montage.

One more additional item I want to mention the Legacy Korg VST version is pretty dam close to the Hardware sound, if you don’t have the space. The editor has the 6 stage ASDR filter nice , and It’s really easy to save and edit on the VST and comes with 21 add on cards !

I have the Korg M1R EX and it came loaded with its factory sounds. What is the easiest way for me to get the Korg M1 factory sounds ? Which sound card has these original M1 Factory sounds? Does the Hypersynth card have the original M1 Factory sounds?

Does HCARD 101 load new PCM waveforms with banks or it use only build in Korg M1 waveforms from ROM?

It is not a PCM card, you need those separately for those specific banks. It has all the Korg banks (which require additional PCM) cards as well as over 1,000 presets that don't require it.

It doesn't, that's a newer generation of synthesizer. Hopefully Hypersynth will release one for that synth in the future.
