Honestly, this may be an unpopular opinion... but I think there is very little point in building a TikTok following when every video is judged by TikTok as though you have ZERO followers. Yes, virality is important, but I have almost a MILLION followers and as a content creator - you want to make videos outside of a constant blood-hungry viral pursuit and you're lucky if they break 50k!? WHAT'S THE POINT THEN?! If your videos are only going to be shown to 2% of your following - what's the point of building a following?? So the app is nothing more than a viral video chaser?? Every video starts you back at square one...

If you can log out, search for your account and find it then you're not shadowbanned. I would return to the video concepts that built your fanbase in the first place. If very little FYP viewers are seeing it, chances are your audience isn't expressing enough interest for TikTok to push it further.

A lot of the main features are gradually enabled on your profile based on certain view thresholds. Focus on outputting good content and building a core audience and you'll get most of what you want enabled. A lot of the features are not able to simply appear by reinstalling TikTok, unforutnatly.

@@stparlay A week break isn't going to result in an inactive audience. I'd look closer at your content. If you see other similar videos like it on TikTok, you're going to have to step up your game. Try drawing something very culturally relevant, to get your foot in the door. It needs to have broad appeal.

You're going to have to find commonalities between the two ideas. You don't want a dramatic 180 degree shift in ideas, that'll cause unfollows and pigeonhole your account.

Hi I have a question which has been stressing me out for ages. I am under the age of 18, however my account is set to over the age of 18. Due to this, a while back I somehow joined the tiktok creator next program, without even clicking anything, and only going onto the page about it. Then I got eligibility to earn video gifts. I have received video gifts aswell. What I want to do is leave the TikTok creator next program, and join it when I am actually 18, but then they might realise that I was part of it at at a time when I was under 18. I may be punished for being in the tiktok creator next program, and earning video gifts. I am really scared about this, as I have around 250k followers, and I don't want to lose them. Please can u give me some advice on how to fix this issue without being punished for recieving gifts/ being part of the creator next program, whilst being under 18 :) Thanks

Hi Joseph, I used to do TikTok when it first came out and that account has 20k followers. But i haven't made a TikTok for a looooong time, and I am planning to start one soon. Should I make a new account or does that not really matter?

You might output a few test videos and gauge the audience reception from there. 20K isn't a massive fanbase, so I definitely think you can start with a blank slate if necessary. I'd make sure you continue with ideas similar to what you built the main account around if you continue posting on the old account - don't want to lose followers through a sudden transition in ideas.
