PK Black Ace Pro is a great racket. It looks like a thin beamed Blade 98 and is more maneuverable even with 330 SW. It plays like how a prostock Blade 98 would play like - being more flexible and more connected to the shots. Great control, spin and power. It can proudly be called the PK's flagship model.

For arm friendly racquet, I highly recommend Prince 100X 305 and customise it. I customised mine to 340g. Good blend of control, comfort, spin, power.

Can second that, did exactly the same. 5g in the handle, 3g at 10 & 2, overgrip, dampener. Plenty of spin, plow, comfort and feel

Thanks, great review and insights. I developed golfer elbow playing few times with a Head Gravity Pro 2021. Having played most of my life with a Head PT 630 which I thought was the most "soft" and comfortable racket ever made (I still love it!), I had to admit that the PK Black Ace Pro is just unreal in terms of arm comfort and plow through. I find that the BA Pro blends perfectly the classic frame allure with a kind of modern feel, especially at medium regime where it gives power, spin and surgical precision. And the backhand slide is just too sweet...a great stick with a built-in "healing factor". A truly underrated racket worth trying, IMHO

Jonas, thank you so much for this review! I ordered Black Ace Pro(using your link :) ) 1 month ago and my elbow(injured by tennis stiff Babolat+poly string + boxing) is so happy now. Was very sceptical about all these technology but it really work. This Black Ace has very similar buttery feel like Head Pro Tour 630, but is less demanding for your technique so more amateurs with arm problems can use it effectively. Off-center hit? Now i don't care! :D

About 6 months ago I switched to ProKennex. I use the ProKennex Ki Q+ Tour ( 98 inches, 300g) strung with Wilson NXT Soft at 51lbs. I usually play about 4 times a week (approx 8 hours) and my golfers elbow was really bad before I switched to ProKennex. I would say the elbow is now 70% to 80% better and I am totally convinced the racket and the technology works. I also use a Theraband (as suggested by Jonas) and again this is really helping to strengthen my arm / elbow. I would have no hesitation in recommending ProKennex if you have arm issues. Finally Jonas keep up the great work, Tennisnerd is my favourite tennis channel and I love watching your videos and have learnt loads from your regular updates.

very nearly bought a proKennex as my new racket, went with a Head Speed Pro bc i don't think i need quite that much help yet with my wrists (and there was a good sale on!). But if it gets any worse, ProKennex is going to be my first port of call without a doubt. Hugely underated

Prince Phantom 100x - the perfect tennis elbow solution and string at lower tension, I'm running 42-44lbs in main (co-poly 17 or 18) and 52lbs crosses (multi 16) - good control and no problems on an elbow injury I've been carrying for many years.

@@hpjt my advice is go for heavier frames as per what u are comfortable with. Go for a larger head size 100sq inches or more... oversize is better.. Go for multifilament strings e.g technifibre nrg2 strjngs. Ki 5 320 is a good option with multi filament strings... I hope that helps... the Kinetic rackets from prokennex are designed to protect your arm and shoulder

Pretty sure I couldn't play tennis anymore without switching to Pro Kennex (Tour) due to severe wrist problems. PK for two years now and no more problems. Funny you compare it to the blade. Probably my second favorite racket ever :-). Nice whisky. Slainte! One of my favorites too. You should give the green one a try with lead at 3 and 9 and use your favorite poly. Would be interesting to see if you like it better then.

Useful is not the word, how about a must view? Thank you for this Jonas, you're the first reviewer I've seen feature these fascinating racquets. That Black Ace sounds right up my alley, mostly doubles player these days. Man the view from that seaside Court is majestic. See why you like Malta always wondered about that view TBH! Very interesting I'll ask my shops if they demo a Black Ace, eager to check it out. Sick to try a Yonex VCore 98 but if my shoulder is bad after I have no say. I see a future for this brand for certain. Legions of players could play again and that really helps the sport. Great video, I only heard an echo because you mentioned it! Prectically indiscernable online, seriously take it from a picky music fan no biggy at all. 👍👍🎵 💯% 👋(^_-)

I’ve been using PK for last 10 years due to severe case of tennis elbow. Now I don’t have an issue but still playing with PKs. They are very underrated racquet. I have both Q +Tour and Q+5. As for me I like Q+Tour as it is more a well balanced and versatile racquet than the other one. I like the cosmetics of the new 2021 Q+ Tour. It comes in 300g, 315g, and 325g but Tennisware house doesn’t carry the 300g version which is the right weight for me. I even called them asked why they don’t have it in 300g but they had no clue. Lol. 300g versions are sold on other retailers but not at Tennis-warehouse which is a bit surprising to me.

I've never used anything but the Pro Kennex 7G. It's been around for years. Try the Pro Kennex Haters !! or play somebody that uses one.

I'm going to reply to my own comment. someone should review the 7 and 5G's . these are the only rackets I can think of that are still in production in their orginal form. they are not spin monsters but are very accurate and just play solid.. right down the middle in every category.

Great review, as always! How does the Black Ace Pro compare to the older Ki Q+ Tour Pro 315? I'm a long time tennis elbow sufferer still searching for the holly grail...I love the feel of my Textreme Tour 95 (2015), but I'd like a slightly more forgiving sweet spot and a bit more plough through. spotted As for the echo, curtains, a couple of rugs, some soft furnishing (sofa, cushions, etc) and a few frames on the wall (e.g. paintings with no front glass) should help immensely. You can always put folded towels or any thick fabrics in a wall frame to absorb the sound, but I guess you don't want your room to look like a recording studio.
