I think the original game has the doors close with power so that if the power goes out, the doors will open and the guard won't be locked in. It's meant as a safety feature, it's just in the wrong game for that.

Honestly the desert bus environment was crazy well done. It's actually quite diverse but it's also very boring to look at, just like the real thing. Someone understood the assignment with that one for sure XD

There's some pretty cool mechanics in Rotund world. You can tame lizards by pushing/helping them get unstuck from pipes... you can go through pipes easier with momentum, so if you drop from a height down into a pipe you'll probably go straight through without needing to mash. Cool mod.

Fun fact : #movement scientists did the research : slide-pouncing into an immediate (smaller) pounce*, then getting up and doing it again and again again is way faster than chaining roll pounces. *that is, when you land from a roll pounce you have enough momentum to pounce again, provided you keep holding down and forward. That also works for when you fall from high enough to roll ! When you find a nice little slope you can just go fwish fwish fwish fwish

@chaostes4997 explosive jumping while holding the down button makes a stronger explosion which parries projectiles and stuns creatures, it's really useful! :D

@@Seven_Red_Scugs The parry is incredibly useful. It makes you much better at fighting in close quarters and it makes the game more fun because it adds another element of strategy. You can also use some mods to rebind it(my control scheme made it pratically unusable for example) It has both creative and panic uses which can both be pretty funny. I once stunned a scav and threw him down a cliff

With a playstyle that's designed to be aggressive, your first instinct might be to fight everything. You can get away with this, but I'd recommend picking your battles. If your goal is to make progress quickly, you may want to avoid engaging with enemies altogether (when you can). Definitely don't fight in open spaces (unless you're really good at dodging spears); make sure you have cover nearby. Also, don't stay in one place for too long! The scavengers will likely find and gang up on you. Keep an eye on spawning dens; hordes of scavengers can appear out of nowhere.
