Bought the Wireless version a few weeks ago after listening to them Vs Mark Levinson 5909 and some T&A Solitaire T which are both Full Sized Bluetooth Headphones. To my ears and tastes the ML5909 and Solitaires T are great fun, dynamic and punchy with great timing but... I wasn't so convinced once things calmed down requiring emotion and finesse. The Xelento's are much better at being smooth refined and enjoyable. They constantly surprise me with the way they deliver so much detail without making an obvious thing about it. You just get engrossed in music instead of analysing what's right or wrong about the sound, even though they are far from transparent neutral. It's an odd but wonderful thing. Sennheiser IE 900 are more impressive with their refined flat response but a little too far towards Pro Audio Sound to make everything enjoyable Vs analytical. £1000 is a chunk of cash to drop on In Ear Headphones but they do repay you with musical bliss...

One other quicky. I've plugged the Wife's £70 Beyerdynamic Soul Byrd's directly into my Sony 1iii phone's 3.5 headphone jack and they are very enjoyable, even after the £1000 Xelento's...

@@12345678abracadabra I don’t think so. If you’re rich enough to blow this much money on earbuds the cost means nothing to you. And if the cost is meaningless they’re essentially without value. So, they’re worthless. It would take about 5 days of work for the average person in this country to buy them … assuming there was zero sales tax.

@@zero11010 it's all relative to what someone values and of course income, this may seem ridiculous as some may see $1000+ smartphones as ridiculous but they're mega popular . personally I'd save for some premium earbuds that are gonna last a decade easy worst case scenario replace the cable and provide an amazing audio experience and settle for a budget or mid tier smartphone... it's all relative

You don’t have to tell me who you are or where you live. * In US dollars what is your annual salary? * What percentage of your salary goes to mortgage/rent? * How much did you spend on your car? If it wasn’t brand new, what was the original MSRP? * Approximately how much money have you spent on your home theater? * How many homes do you own? My point here is that the person who has disposable income for this is going to be in the top 5% of earners in the country. Or will be in some weird financial situation where they’re being cared for by others so they have much more disposable income than most other people. The biggest complaint for the AirPods Max is price. The people I know who have them all make well over $150k and those are half the price of these. The kind of person who would do this has elaborate home theater. And, likely already has made that home purchase (or multiple) … rather than still paying rent and still needing to save hundreds of thousands of dollars for a down payment on a house and is busy spending $1,000 on earbuds. So, who is this really for? Most people can’t afford it. And a lot of people who can genuinely don’t care about the sound benefits from this. Not everyone with money is an audiophile.
