As a guy who follows politics in almost all democracies, Rankings that use statistics instead of interviews with undisclosed people always rank India much much higher than these and also the news coming out from them about India is a lot more positive than these rankings. For example, last year UN ranked India number 1 in pocerty reduction, with fastest reduction in poverty with over 400 million pulled out of poverty. I can give several such examples. India does have many problems but when you know the problems in other countries, you would realise that India is far better and comparable to Europe in democracy, independence of judiciary, religious freedom, and many other rankings.

I can vouch for Happiness Index. As a researcher in Finland from India in psychometry, I can assure you that while not perfect, they measure something very important. These youtubers do not understand what "Happiness" is. It is a construct that is mostly tied to social security. Finns worry less about child's education, or having kids, spending on health, in a world class education system which is free. Life is really good when you live like that. Basics needs taken care off. One can focus on your passion, entrepreneurship etc. In India, education fees are the birth control ,these days, No measures are perfect, but these measures are valid indicators, but not complete pictures. These youtubers aren't researchers. Just attention grabbers.

By his definitiong you have to ask 1.4B to ensuree the report and the parameterss are not measurable factors. i myself observed the reports fits India actually. Hi, everyone should know about this. My mother is an anganwadi teacher in Haryana, so I know the reality of some reports. The government is so active in removing malnourishment in children that they are provided with everything from cooked meals, milk powder, medication etc. It's mandatory to register every child in the survey. Sudden inspections are done to check the credibility. These reports are submitted monthly and progress is monitored.
