From writing the ad, to creating comprehensive lists of features and benefits, to staging, I share everything we did to make our home stand out from the rest.

This is some great context and content. If you use the services of a true real estate expert they should be doing most of this for you and not you for them. After all why pay their commission if you’re putting in this effort. I suggest Sotheby’s International Realty Canada if they are in your locale 😅

Thanks for saying! Do you have any suggestions on how people can pick a good realtor from a worse one? Will better ones offer more services (video tours / drones) or extra support? Perhaps a better question is, are there certain questions you should ask a realtor before you choose one that can help you decide who to pick? I know it's a loaded question but your answer could help people in the future!

@@TheSAHDLife well being homeless in Vancouver seems to be trendy these days. Such a sad state of affairs in that city. We went to Vancouver once for a honeymoon last June. After that, we went anywhere but.

Hehe, well to be honest we live out in the burbs. I dread having to go to the city though not because of what it sounds like you experienced, more just because it's so busy. I have lived in Vancouver throughout my life and when you're there and know the area it's very beautiful. There's nothing quite like a sunny day at Spanish Banks or many of the other amazing places, and there is such much great food, but, you better get there early because there's a million other people trying to go there too. We are actually moving to Vancouver Island. The verbs are even too busy for us these days so we want to really dial it back a notch and live on island time. In the next few months once we settle I'll finally have more time to work on my channels and have space to do so. Really exciting times ahead. Anything new with you guys? You working on anything fun these days or have any cool new lenses to Tinker with?

Thanks! It was fun / stressful but it sure is tough living in a staged house with 2 small children, my gosh. Constant cleaning. And yes, even though people probably don't hang out in the bathroom... having a squeaky clean toilet in case they need to use it... then cleaning the mirrors and faucet is something I did for every showing!

Yes congrats. Staging works for inexperienced buyers. My analysis would be that if you sold in 5 days, you sold too low 🤣 But I know the north american market is different to Europe where selling is slower.

@@StirfriedGerman Thanks! Yeah you never know right? That's the hard part. At the end of the day for us, the fact our house needs pretty much everything (hot water, furnace, roof fascia boards, sunken concrete sidewalks around the house etc..) and is starting to show it's age with styling etc. we were very happy with what we got for it. Things have been extremely slow around here the last 4-5 months. On to the next one! How does the lens look?! :) 24mm f1.4 baby!
