These Skate Better Than SB's

When i started skating dunks i skated some regular ones and they felt so thin compared to my previous ÈS shoes. But they had such a good boardfeel and the flick was really good! But when i got my first SB dunk pair which was the dunk low sb raygun it was a totally different shoe. The cushioning and the thick tongue were so much better. Now i only skate SB Dunks. They are soo good! I have to skate some high ones next to protect my ankles. (;

I think the SP designation stands for "sportswear" or Nike's sportswear division. They're based more closely on the original Nike Dunk basketball shoe that came out in the mid 80s. The sportswear dunks skate great. Most 80s cupsole sneakers translate well to skateboarding because they were often supportive enough while still being thin enough to have good board feel. Nike dunks, Jordan 1s, Adidas Superstar/Pro Model, Adidas Forums, all have had success on the feet of skaters since the 80s.

People loved the more puffy fat shoes of the 90s much better than any sport shoe though. And it had nothing to do with boardfeel. And I dare say the older Nike shoes never were all that thin by today's standard. It's what made them durable enough for anyone to skate what are quite expensive shoes for something you destroy.

I've never skated the GT's, gt's will definitely have more board feel, one is vulcenized, one is a cup sole, it comes down to personal preference. GT's are probably easier to come by.

They're not much thinner, same sole, outsole, just less padding on the tongue and collar.

Man I wanna order some but I’m a 12.5 in some shoes and I a 13 in other shoes.. don’t know which size to get 🥲
