I'm gonna cry when Maddie leaves because Maddie is the last of the heavy hitters. DCC has some serious rebuilding to do because all of the heavy hitters are gone now. There's no Lacey, Jinelle, Amy, Kashara, Jenna. All of those girls are gone now. I want to see who's gonna step up in the coming years. We're gonna see new faces coming to the forefront. There's gonna be new group leaders and point of the triangle. I'm elated to see who gets what.

Marissa, Armani, Jada, Darian, Claire W and Sydeny are the new Lacey, Jinelle, Amy, Kashara, Jenna and Maddie. Marissa is a great rookie. I love her look. She is so adorable. I could see Marissa being a 6 or 7 year veteran being that she's only 18.

Marie Lloyd there was a lot of criticism regarding her ‘favoritism’ towards Victoria and her weight her first year (2018 I believe). She gave Victoria more chances than anyone else saying she could lose weight (which normal Kitty would say ‘out with her’ to any other girl) and she gave Victoria a sticker when other guest choreographers and judges didn’t notice her/pick her to be in their top 36. I believe she decided not to continue on the show bc of all the criticism.

Anna Mason Kitty clearly saw in Victoria what the judges didn’t. She was a hot mess her first year, but she finished in the top 3 rookies this past year when she made it, including Show Group. I do miss Kitty, though!

Maddie is one of the most versatile dancers on the team, she is also technically trained and knows multiple styles of dance, her strongest style is hip hop that is her forte. The DCC is her second strongest dance style cause the DCC is a dance style on their own.

Dennis Paez Her planted foot’s toes are facing the direction she’s about to rotate, so that’s turned in. Proper jazz technique would have the toes facing perfectly forward and not turning until you’re on releve and starting the pirouette. When your foot turns in like that, it’s considered a little “cheat” to help you turn more, but it’s been hammered into my head since childhood not to do that, so I cringe when I see it.

The woman that gave Kat a hard time over what she wore knows nothing about dance, she just looks for a "gotcha" question. Jay Johnson is great at keeping the girls in shape for what they have to do BUT, as a judge does he really know what to look for. His "you have 10 minutes to live, who are you going to call and why" is about the dumbest question 1 could ask. "Hi Joe, it's Rick, I have 8 1/2 minutes left to live, it was nice knowing you, bye." The C&W singer, the guy from the hair salon, what do they really know about what to look for past the "I like her" answer. Meredith said to Kelli in the office that " you hold my life in your hands". That got to Kelli as they showed afterward. If I get cut, I want to be cut because people that know what the h*** they are looking for and not somebody who is going back and style a hairdo for some lady. For the record I think they do a great job, but, it doesn't make him an expert on dance. Kelli, Judy, Melissa, Charlotte, the sideline reporter who is around DCC (and the players), Kitty Carter, who has forgotten more than the others will ever know, that is who I would want judging me.

As an Aussie we don't have cheerleaders at the footy. I've only seen cheerleaders in the stereotypical movies. I had no idea how talented they are at dancing, no idea. I'm binge watching this✌💜

So this isn't technically cheerleading because cheerleading involves stuntwork and tumbling (which is really awesome to watch and anyone who rags on cheerleaders needs to get over themselves because what they do is really hard too). A lot of these women were on dance teams and something called drill teams in Texas, which have very similar style to DCC routines (kicklines, etc). I think they're all insanely talented and it takes a ton of hard work to make it look effortless.
