I live in Texas and was able to see totality. I have never seen anything more awestriking in my life. It was absolutely incredible. I am 53 years old , a mother of 4 and grandmother of 2, nothing I've ever seen compares to totality in a solar eclipse. I've traveled the world with my husband and have seen some truly astounding things, but nothing compares to seeing totality.

There were fighter jets following the path of totality, they were able to stay in the path for 7 minutes. They flew with wing tips up and down so they can look at the eclipse, otherwise the eclipse would be over the pilots head. That could look like a cylinder going thru the sky. Those are normal shadows thru the eclipse, part of the sun is being blocked, so only the light getting thru is casting a shadow. Take a flashlight and put a piece of paper over part of it, then look at the shadow it casts on the wall.

The thing that’s most amazing is that the moon is exactly the right size and distance compared to the sun to block it out completely exactly the same size in comparison. Most people have no idea how incredibly weird that actually is the chances of that naturally are absolutely astronomical

Not really, the width of the eclipse is very tiny, about 160km. If the moon was a different size or distance it would only change that width… You need to think really really big. For the other comment, it’s call tidal lock. It’s a very frequent occurrence for moons. Here, you need to think about time. Living 100 years may looks like a long time but in universe time it’s nothing, not even one blink of an eye over that 100 years…

The shadows happen like that during an eclipse. I remember seeing this phenomena during an eclipse back in the '80s. I told my son and his wife about it while we were waiting for the ring of fire eclipse last October. When we saw the shadows during the eclipse, they were shocked! They didn't think I had actually seen what I said I saw... until they saw it.

The shadows on the ground is an effect you see during an eclipse that’s like a bunch of pinhole lenses/cameras… if you look closely, you’re actually seeing a bunch of tiny shadows of the eclipse, which is why it’s different depending on where you are in the eclipse path. You have to be standing under a tree to witness it.

I'm in Ohio and watched the eclipse with my neighbors. We had the perfect view from my neighbor/friend's deck. The roosters in the neighborhood were going crazy until totality, then fell silent. Most of the birds fell silent right before totality. There were a couple still singing quietly and one squawking madly. We had one seriously confused bumblebee flying around us the entire time that only seemed to gain its composure after the eclipse was over. And once totality was past, the roosters started up again. They finally quieted down when things were back to normal. The eclipse itself was magical! We were fortunate enough to see it in all its glory. Ohio had hundreds of thousands of visitors from out of state here to witness the eclipse with us. We had a wonderful time. 😸

"Shadows on the floor form thin, wavy, parallel lines. This is created by the Earth's atmospheric winds. The sun has been reduced to such a small light source that it is able to cast shadows of the atmosphere's 'detail' on to the floor. A total eclipse is the only way you can naturally witness this phenomenon."
@corbinlandreth
@corbinlandreth 9 күн бұрын
The strange shadows are from the pinhole effect. I noticed this last eclipse, and it was incredibly beautiful to watch these odd patterns dance across my everyday surroundings. When light shines through a small enough hole, it acts as a lens, and the shape of the light source is cast beyond it rather than the shape of the hole. Tree leaves make hundreds of these pinholes simply by overlapping each other, and their distance from the ground as well as the tree's overall shadow coverage make them perfect for casting brilliantly detailed pinhole lights in the hundreds.

When the sun shines through the little spaces between the leaves it works just like if you made a box for the eclipse. The sun shines through the pin hole creating an exact replica of the eclipse. Yes, there *IS* a reason why so many ancient cultures considered an eclipse to be [an] ominous, spiritual event- and that reason is simple... The ancient cultures made up stories to explain that which they had no understanding of how to explain *natural phenomena* with their extremely limited and narrow scope of knowledge. An eclipse looks awesome! The few *"ancient astronomers and mathematicians"* knew when to expect these calculable events, and others who were in control of them used that information to benefit their own cultural standing. *Fear is a great pursuader.* *"Follow my commands or I will call upon the sky gods to smythe you,"* etc., etc., etc.

The USA's 2017 eclipse - same thing. I used the pinhole camera method to project the sun's image on a white cardboard and saw the crescent sun, along with the crescent sun images all over everything. I did that and had our scientist-approved darkened lenses - I saw the sun exactly the way a telescope with a filter would. It was an orange circle slowly being covered by the black moon. Due to the totality line being only five miles from me, I only had about 90-120 seconds of totality (the path center was about 3 to 4 minutes), but tried to get a video of totality but didn't look at it - I couldn't see anything with the glasses and still didn't want to jeopardize my vision.

The shadow phenomenon is caused by light scattering through the gaps in the leaves. This doesn't only happen during the eclipse, it always happens, but usually it just causes "blotches" of light rather than defined boundaries, because usually the sun is a disk. The effect is similar to the principle behind pin hole photography, and the spread out light will mirror the shape of the light source.

Lots of Texas folks on here❤ I live in Austin. Those first two clips? I’m among the few that didn’t record the event. But I saw it, just thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. But now that people have footage… Yeah, that’s a Dragon. Pretty sure. The one after that, I think that’s just a Sun flare. Maybe? The crescent shadows took place during the solar eclipse in 2023. The theory is: “Objects such as trees and bushes helped to create natural pinhole lenses that projected dozens of mini crescents onto the ground below.”
@chrisholland8892
@chrisholland8892 Ай бұрын
The crescent shadows are literally just the shadow of the moon in front of the sun. We used a box with a white piece of paper with just a pin prick in one side...it made the same shadow/ beam of light on the piece of paper. So all the little openings in the leaves are acting the same way as the box trick. But it is spectacular to look at.

My vantage point is from the north Georgia mountains. During the 2017 total solar eclipse once the sun was in full totality it began to cast the exact same shadows over the entire front deck as shown in the first footage of shadows you've shared. It was beautiful and magnificent and remained for awhile as the sun began to peek out once again. This time we didn't have these shadows as Georgia only had a little over 80% view of the eclipse. The roosters crowed from beginning to end though which was for 2 1/2 hours. All the birds were happily singing. Once it was at it's full peak here, it became very still as in 2017. The winds resumed after it's peak time. It was forecasted to be mostly cloudy here but we asked God and his angels to send the winds to clear a space so that the clouds would blow away from our viewing and of course we ended up having clear blue skies with puffy white clouds and perfect viewing for the spectacle. God is spectacular and awesome!

Regarding the shadows on the ground that looked like the eclipse. When we were kids we learned that we could not directly look at the eclipse but we could put a pinhole in a piece of paper and then look at the eclipse on the ground, through the pinhole. These eclipse phenomena are called Crescent Shadows & some are Shadow Bands. The gaps of sunlight will transform blurred circles of the sun into an array of unique shaped light shapes that mimic the view from a pinhole projector. People should consider, that with the advent of digital cameras, comes internal software that alters the picture constantly, and this software is anything but infallible. This includes both still and video images. The software is constantly adjusting the light, shadowing, and so many other things, it's too much to list here. Artifacts are common, and some of those artifacts can be so extreme that the last thing you would think they are, is an adjustment and/or compression artifact. That's not to say that all sightings of ghosts or aliens or "whatever" are artifacts, I'm just saying that not everything is what it seems, and sometimes it's just an artifact (which is why corroborating evidence is important).

So before the actual eclipse you will see the crescent moon phase and the total eclipse will look like a ring. The same thing happens when the light passes through the leaves on a tree creating this mesmerizing series of hundreds of eclipses or crescents on the ground. It’s truly fascinating!!

The phenomenon where shadows appear three-dimensional during a solar eclipse is primarily due to the unique lighting conditions created by the eclipse itself. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, blocking all or part of the Sun's light. This event creates a dramatic change in lighting, which can affect how we perceive shadows. During a solar eclipse, the sunlight is filtered and reduced, creating a softer, more diffuse light. This type of light can enhance the depth and texture of shadows, making them appear more three-dimensional. Several factors contribute to this effect: Soft and Hard Shadows: Shadows can be categorized into soft and hard shadows based on their edges and the transition from light to dark. Soft shadows have a gradual transition, while hard shadows have a sharp transition. The diffuse light during a solar eclipse can create a mix of soft and hard shadows, adding to the perception of depth Umbra and Penumbra: The shadow cast by an object in light can have two parts: the umbra, where the light source is completely blocked, and the penumbra, where the light source is partially blocked. During a solar eclipse, the contrast between the umbra and penumbra can become more pronounced, enhancing the three-dimensional appearance of shadows Light Filtering and Color Effects: Anaglyph 3D effects, achieved by encoding each eye's image using filters of different colors, can create a perception of depth. While not directly related to solar eclipses, this principle demonstrates how light filtering can affect depth perception. During a solar eclipse, the filtering of sunlight through the Earth's atmosphere can create unique color effects, potentially enhancing the three-dimensional appearance of shadows Human Perception and Depth Cues: Our brain uses various cues to perceive depth, including shadows, perspective, and occlusion. The unique lighting conditions during a solar eclipse can amplify these cues, making shadows appear more three-dimensional. The brain interprets the enhanced contrast and texture in shadows as indicators of depth

The ring effect created by shadows are Lensing effect, as light from the Sun hits an object at great distance between the surface the light finally hits and the object between cause a light refraction of the shape of the object between.

The Shadows are a well documented phenomenon. It's the sun shining through the gaps in the leaves of a tree creating an effect comparable to a pinhole camera. I have seen lots of these photos everytime there is an eclipse

@@Silence_between_waves of course if you are talking about the UK, we didn't have a total eclipse. Just a point, where I live we have loads of trees already in leaf, but I watched the eclipse on live stream from the U.S and there were plenty of trees that could be seen, don't forget those southern states are hot all year round.........unless it was a huge conspiracy and the whole thing didn't even happen!

There are no “aliens” they are demonic entities. Do not be deceived. Another person caught a dragon flying through the sky while zooming into the eclipse. Demons will soon cover the earth. This solar eclipse was God’s LAST CALL to repent before utter darkness and chaos envelops the earth. CERN has been bringing in demonic entities for years. UFO activity amped up as soon as Obama came on the scene. He is bringing Islamic jihad to the world. Obama is Antichrist of Revelation and bringing jihad to North America in particular because he knows we are God’s country. Or at least was. But we are now a grossly immoral and Godless nation and snub the very one who has protected and provided prosperity to this nation. No more. He has lifted His hand of prosperity and protection from this once great nation. Abortion (human blood sacrifice to satan) sexual deviancy, transgenderism (mutilation of oneself to become something they will NEVER BE) liars, g abuse of animals, children and women etc. Repent, this is the last call to repent, turn from all sin and believe Christ alone is King. Not the pope, not Mary, not Muhammad, Christ alone can save. This is Americas last warning! Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. Luke 21:26 ⚜️🌹🤍

Im under the impression that the theories about the eclipse, is that it was going to be on the day of the eclipse, but that the eclipse marks 40 days left for you to repent...

Hey Ben.. Awesome as usual.. With the strange shadows,,, maybe take a good flashlight and stick a black circle in the centre of the lens,, creating a false eclipse type light,, and see if it makes weird shadows.. Just a thought..

April 2nd, 2024 was a last quarter moon. The moon was exactly half dark, half illuminated. The moon in video is clearly gibbous moon, meaning more than half the moon is illuminated. That totally debunks the discharge from moon video. Thank you for the videos!!

The shadow in the clouds... You might be able to see the Moon's shadow sweeping across the sky and moving over the cloud cover. It creates a very odd view and may seem like something supernatural, but simply is a matter of reflections and shadows.

13:29 that red line is actually in front of the person standing in front of the person holding the camera, so it's likely an overlay. Pause the video exactly 13:29 and you will see what I mean.

I was in Niagara Falls for the eclipse. There is an Air National Guard Base there, so it's not uncommon that C-130s would be flying in the area, but the strange thing is I thought the same 2 planes were circling the area, but apparently there were several pairs of C-130s flying a pattern turning close to the Canadian border then flying across the state. A friend saw a pair of C-130s flying approximately 170 miles away. Also, right as the eclipse hit totality, the Niagara wifi dropped out, and cell internet service was temporarily interrupted .

There were aircraft all over the path of totality.. you're right, the national guard had the C-130 up. NASA also had some WB-57's up too at high altitude.

Not in London, Ontario Canada, no interruptions what so ever and the whole show only took about 3 minutes. I was actually disappointed at one point, because I thought the whole area was going to be shoved into pure blackness and it never was. Temperature dropped, the colour of everything around us was a colour I can never describe and the temperature dropped quite significantly. Then it was over and the colour became normal again and the temperature regained it's high of 20 degrees C. I did catch an anomaly on my camera though. A crescent shaped object that moved across the sky whilst the eclipse came and went.
