Yup! Back in the day, I had a stable manager position. When the owners were out of town I had to stay over (in their old house). My dog, who rarely growled or barked, woke me up with a bark. She looked up at the ceiling near the light fixture growling and didn't want to let up. Then she started crying and jumped up on the bed with me. No one was in the house. Didn't get much sleep that night. This was a dog that was well trained, a cattle dog/shep, always at my side. My friend had a Chihuahua when I was a kid... long story short during a sleepover it wouldn't stop barking down the stairs so they called it to the bedroom. It ran whimpering and hid under the sheets. We barricaded the door. Their parents said they didn't hear a thing all night. : /
