Usually i use something like 60 Phoenixes as a chaff clear, so i like Your idea.

It's fun, I play it too. But it's a meme build. Absolutely everyone runs emp on mm and phoenix. If you don't win the turn you do this, it gets shut down hard the next one. The moment I see shielded phoenix, I'm already itching for the emp trigger. I'd never wait to see quantum like YuBan did. I guess when they rely entirely on fortress with no emp it will work.

@@SvenThielen The build is meant to counter a mix of builds. If they go Fort AA then both shield and quantum are great. If they run EMP marksmen of phoenix then shield is still good, as they will still need 2 shots per phoenix. If they run doubleshot instead of EMP, quantum has high value. Depending on my opponent I click a different combination of techs

I find it hard to leave EMP at hom eon either marks or phoenix, it just smashes so many late boards that i have trouble without it.

You can run Range, EMP, Shield & Quantum if you want to try these survivability techs while still having EMP available. I prefer charged shot on phoenixes since it allows me to kill important units faster. No need to EMP that which is dead 😁

I like to play this setup in long range games, where mustangs would struggle against the vulcans. I think the best counter to this is Marksmen with both doubleshot and EMP on the bar.

Sledgehammers are heavily overpriced and don't counter anything. They can't even destroy steelballs at the same level and the dps and range are awful.
