Valuable info. Seeing George Lynch play was what got my interest. He seemed to be able to do this anywhere on the neck, not fuzzy sounding more like that high pitched, precise sound that moves up maybe a whole step while it's played.

Lynch is insane! Super underrated IMO. Thank you for watching 👊

Great vid buddy wanna ask does pick gauge matters?
@HunterHomistek3 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching, Sergio! Glad it helped. For pick gauge, I've always used picks on the heavier side -- anything from .88mm to 2.0mm depending on my mood. I've settled into the 1.14mm Jazz IIIs lately, but I'm always tinkering with that. haha

Hmmm... Your main point in your video about the metal tones was to dial the gain way back. And yet, you got the pinch harmonics.
@HunterHomistekАй бұрын
I don't think "Way back" was the point necessarily. Just not maxed out. I think I said "around noon," so halfway.

Umm....Dimebag ? Otherwise great advice..
@HunterHomistek Жыл бұрын
Dimebag DEFINITELY did pinch harmonics aplenty, but his *iconic* squeal was actually a whammy harmonic. He was and is the GOAT at that technique. It’s similar but different. 😂
@Mark-mg9qv8 ай бұрын
Great video stop saying literally it actually means nothing when used that way. Cheers

DIMEBAG too bud
@HunterHomistek2 ай бұрын
Of course, of course. Dimebag is one of the pinch harmonic GOATs, but I feel his more signature technique are the whammy harmonics/squeals. Either way, sure, throw him in. He deserves any and all shoutouts.
