host for misanthrope here: this is a very funny time for you to post this lmao as in the past week more has been happening with the level than potentially ever in the past few years lol. the planning for the level has been changing a ton and progress is definitely not going to be the same as it has been in previous years as we actually now know exactly what we want for this level now. Public info hasnt really been given about everything yet (because we still have a LOT of work to do in terms of, well, everything, and only started reworking everything quite literally a week or less ago) but a TON of stuff has been happening recently. (also holy outdated showcase 😭)

Just one thing, mindcap has confirmed that return 0 is the sequel to limbo, since in limbo you are "escaping the limbo of hell" and in return 0 you are escaping a facility that was built in front of the gates of hell (i think), so its basically the lore of ultrakill but reverse lol

The lore of limbo is you were killed by the machine in return zero and stuck in well limbo but then you die over and over and over until you escape but then it all starts over again in the real world ready to face your fears, return zero is a steelwork factory overrun by an omnipresent super intelligent AI that is able to control everything in the facility and it will do whatever it can to kill you, your job is to get to the main control room and disable the machine

A level I never see talked about ever is OSOWIEC by InexGD, not only has progress been… slow to say the least, but the level is so well decorated and unique that it would be a genuine crime if it died. If you’re interested, there are various videos showing all the deco compiled together that you should watch.

sad that no one seems to remember or have even heard about the deco version of Battle of the Shades (Phase 4). There's a monochrome style version hosted by RealVet with a preview showing progress, but that was 5 years ago and another version hosted by Wesp that was last seen with a part showcase by Xol and River almost 2 years ago with a gold/heaven looking theme. RealVet's version clearly has more progress, at least publicly, but both projects seem to be dead either way

This might be a hot take but I'd like Injury to be revived. Pretty much every Greafer level is good and the gameplay dosent seem that bad. Kywy has 85% but we don't really hear much from him though. But I think Aquamarine isn't that good but I would still love to see it verified, since Seels already has 61%.
