It's gorgeous. The only things I'm not crazy about are the rims. Aside from that it's just aesthetically flawless. Jaguar can really knock it out the park with their supercars in looks terms. The CX-75 is gorgeous too. Shame it never came out.

Turbo lag is only really an issue if you can't use your gears properly

No, the quad turbo design of the EB110 was designed to eliminate turbo lag, not maximise it. Not a very accurate/fair profiling considering the engineering of this car was simply immense.

This episode put a big smile on my face. I realized that, by complete accident, the only proper model cars I obtained during my childhood (that were made out of metal and not plastics) were models of the XJ220 and the EB110 Super Sport! Made me feel sort of proud to own them as they are so special.

Back in 1992 I was invited to Millbrook by Mercedes Trucks for a ride and drive day, on arrival we were told under no circumstances had we to use the top lane on the bank because a car was putting in high speed laps, it turned out to be the XJ220. A bit surreal really about 15 artics some limited some not trundling around most at 56mph, the unlimited ones at 80 or so, and the XJ220 on the top of the bank doing 3 laps to 1.

@@bukanmatin5973 Simple, in one of the earlier seasons of Top gear they had a race against Australian Top Gear, and in the Drag race they used a Ford Transit that was used by Jag to test the XJ220-Engine, you can imagine how fast that thing was. That is why 220 van is an easter egg, although a very obscure one (very few rewatch all the non-special episodes of TG, especially the earlier seasons).

XJ220 only did 217 with the cats removed and a special tune with race gas. Factory spec was like 212 I believe so it shoud have been called the XJ 212 😅

While I love Jeremy, I've always hated the lopsided way he tests a turbo motor. He'll stick the car in 4th or 5th at 35mph and then jam the throttle. Well yeah it's gonna take forever, you're in the wrong gear! Any car has a power band that it's most optimized for, and in pretty much no car is it at 35 mph in 4th gear...
