History repeats itself. Postal 2 was also trash at launch since it crashed all few mins and was buggy as hell. Now its at least stable and bugfree but it took them over a decade to get the game to this state. Should have left Postal 4 in ea for way longer. Even now I wouldnt call it launch ready.

To be honest, all vanilla versions (expect v1000) works way better and stable than Steam'ed one. Also need to note that even on launch, Postal 2 was a complete game already.

@@KeshaFilm I played the old 2003 version up to patch 1337 I think and I definitely cannot agree on that. I used to have a brand new pentium and geforce gt back in the day and remember this game running like garbage no matter what. Postal 4 is also feature complete with all the 5 days, the problem is the polishing especially bug wisely and performance. It got a bit better in the last year and several patches but even now I wouldnt call it finished. Meanwhile RWS social media accounts still post their obligatory Postal 3 bad "memes". They really have no self reflection...

@@muchossaugus9927 Well, I can suggest you to pick the same hardware you had before (or similiar) and try to launch Steam'ed version on it. Your PC won't stand a chance, and trust me, I tried. :D I know, it was running bad even on mid PC's, thanks to using UE 1.5 in not very proper way. I forgot to mention that I was speaking about today, and it's pretty obvious that vanilla's running way better.

Words cannot express the amount of hatred I harbor for Postal 4. The same people who endlessly clowned on Postal III for being trash making a game that not only is vastly inferior to Postal 2 in every regard from gameplay to map design to performance (how do you manage to make a game that crashes more often than Postal 2 what the fuck) but also makes Postal III look more competent in places is just laughable. And the irony of how Brain Damaged was, just like Postal III, not made by RWS and that ended up being probably the best Postal game, way better than Postal 4 is just sweet. I regret everything

Man, when I finished Postal 4 I thought it sucks. Not because is broken and buggy but some missions are tedious as hell, some sounds are annoying(in the treasure hunter mission there was multiple AK-47 shooting at the same time) and the cops somehow are more annoying than Postal 2. I still have faith in Postal 4 as we get more updates. RWS seems to be listening to the complaints which is great, I do love them as a company for being so transparent and down to earth. P4 has alot of issues in its foundation that can't be fixed unless they change the entire thing from the ground up though (for example the map is too big and uninteresting, the artstyle is not charmingly bad like the other games, it's just generic unreal asset store stuff, there are way too many powerups so cycling through them to find the right one takes ages (fr why do I need a super situational fire hydrant nozzle if I already have a million pills that make the pee serve the exact function but better?)). I am optimistic that P4 will at some point become a fun yet somewhat dissapointing game, I really am. All that being said I think RWS do not have their priorities right. They keep adding collectables, items, side missions etc but the world still feels empty and the NPCs are still way more braindead than the ones in P3. What is the point of a Postal game if the people around you don't even react to anything you do? TLDR: I think P4 has a long way to go and will at least become a decent if somewhat dissappointing Postal game. I can see the points of both sides but I feel it gets both too much hate and too much defense.
