Please don't encourage students to go for US for student visa as currently havoc situation for finding jobs after study. As parents are taking education loan and there will be no job, big question is who will pay this huge education loan?

The University of Delaware is extremely safe. I lived around campus for all the 6 years of my Ph.D. and I lived alone, without any roommates. I would walk home in the middle of the night and still feel perfectly safe. There are also police cars which do pick up and drop off in case of transport requirements.

The problem with this list is that a-student going to NYU will not be confined to campus perimeter only. So, while on campus crime is a data point, it , in itself,is a dismal statistics to design a student’s experience of overall safety. One MUST consider the crime statistics around areas near university, where life subsistence will force a student to go. So mere campus safety statistics in itself is meaningless.

This video implies that students are stuck on campus and spend 4 years as a hermit 😂… successful students have of campus internships, jobs, go out on weekends etc. All the schools listed in the video are in high crime cities, so unless you plan to hide in your room, there is no such thing as being safer at NYU which is highly integrated in a high crime city or at Hopkins where students date in the library because outside school parameters is wild west lol

University of Chicago. They have campus wide shuttle service, on demand ride service etc.

There is no cheap or “safe” school in Chicago or any big city. Even if the campus is safer,students have to venture outside it’s parameters. Look for schools located in remote locations (UVA, Cornel) if safety is the #1 priority.
