This song is entrancing - that's the thing, the quality that it has. When it came out I was a pre-teen & wasn't into slow songs, but something about Human Nature always drew (and still draws) me in, it's just so mellow, his voice caresses the environment almost ethereal. As time has passed I've developed a huge appreciation for it; like - what was I thinking?!! There are so many nuances to Michael, and I think Human Nature explores most of them. It was so cool hanging out with you to this - thanks so much!

I remember him singing this at Wembley in 1988. It looked so beautiful with the blue laser lights shining behind him during the chorus. I was really moved. But then it got more intense. When he did the mime-like moves where he moves himself around the spotlight like he’s trapped it was insanely INTENSE. You really felt like he was trapped. Almost spooky. 32 years on and I remember it well. My regret was that I only saw the Bad tour once. I saw the other tours twice and even saw him in 2001 at Madison Square Garden. But what I’d give to rewind time to see him at perform the Bad tour again 😢...

I absolutely love the BAD tour for that reason alone, so much live singing. I truly wish the good man did that more often, too much songs in the Dangerous tour and especially HIStory tour was lipsynched. He was a perfectionist, so perhaps he wasn't happy with how he sounded?
