This week marks the 19th anniversary since Michael Jackson’s 30th Anniversary Special took place September 7th and 10th of 2001. In this reaction series I’ll be reacting to some of my favorite performances from the special.

*Fun fact: the woman at **3:34** with the black hair, she’s a loooong time Jackson’s fan. From what I know she’s been to most of their tours multiple times, she attended his BAD Tour multiple times. Just any Jackson show period, she’s been to. I often catch her when they do b-roll of the audience in conjunction with the tours. Going as far back as the Triumph Tour up until this show*

I get goosebumps every time I see this Jacksons performance. Michael is undoubtedly the King of Pop, but his brothers are also very talented, especially Jermaine. I love the Jackson family! ❤️

Girl you got me over here cracking up from your facial expressions during the choreography with your shoulder and eyes looking directly at the camera, I would've been right there with you doing the choreography with you jammin' especially on " Shake your body down" I've been a fan since J5 yrs, but I got deeper into the Jackson's music since the Destiny album with "Shake your body down" performance on Soul Train...Love it 🎶 🎵

Michael's 30th Anniversary Tribute Show was so live but the best part of the show, just like the Motown 25th Anniversary was when the Jackson's took to the stage and really turn this live show totally out. They're always the best act of the show. This show was so live & entertaining from the beginning to the end. Love it, Love it, Love it always...Thank you for reposting ❤️

I litt just stumbled on this video lol cant believe its been that long since 30th anniversary shows. Jacksons was def highlight of show if for nothing else mikes singing live which he always sings j5 stuff live even on tours where its 90 percent playback he sings the j5 stuff.

Haha yes , I love this special !! I loved spotting the old technology in the audience lol. People has whole cameras and disposable cameras in the audience and no cell phones recording hardly , so different than how it is now when you go to a concert everybody has their phone up lol ! Why Randy had to slip that 'hip hop' line in their classic ABC hit is beyond me. (MJ checked him though.) Otherwise, this was a epic performance of all the brothers hooked up for the last time.

That was MJ's idea for Randy to do the OPP line and it was part of the show. They used to fake argue on stage alot back in the day lol!

I watched this show when it came out, everybody was mad at MJ because he kept covering his mouth and lip sync majority of his performances. It was sad to see him like that.
