Time seal was banned from dirty play, the objective was to activate it during your opponents draw phase (he skips his NEXT draw phase), he plays out his turn then you stall out your turn as long as possible and then say go, if your opponent draws you accuse him of cheating and get a free win. basically the goal is to make your opponent forget you ever used it. Kind of like how people forget they normal summoned and they do it again, except this time your opponent is drawing a card which is a bigger offense/cheating

The combo with time seal was as follows: You had "Mask of Darkness" face-down and "Time Seal" set in your spell/trap zone. You activate time seal and your opponent skipps his/ her next draw phase. Then you flipp mask of darkness to recover time seal. Finally you would summon "Tsukuyomi" to flipp mask of darkness face-down over and over again to skip ulimited turns

Some of those cards, like Green Baboon and Twin-Headed Behemoth, were errata'd. Green Baboon could be used during the Damage Step when it was hit, so it was way stronger than it currently is. Twin-Headed Behemoth had a ruling problem that forced them to hit it, then they errata'd it to bring it back to 3.

Twin Long Rods He's banned because of ruling conflicts in Japan and the fact that over there you are not allowed to scoop during your opponents turn. This caused huge problems for the OCG back when Dark Hole and Time Seal were last legal. People would use Seal in conjunction with mask and Tsukuyomi to stall forever until they could summon Victory Dragon and win the Match instantly.

Twin-Headed behemoth wasn't limited cause of its revival effect being abused, it was because it previously had an effect that made it so you can only use the revival effect once per duel per CARD, therefore konami thought it would cause confusion as to which cards got the effect or not, if they got shuffled back into the deck or by other reasons. Therefore, it was limited until they simply errata'd it to be once per duel

Chick allowed you to bounce a set card so you could use in hand because of makyura then immediately y send it back to you hand with chicks effect. What i loved about this game back in the day was the flavor of monster archetypes; we had zombies, heroes, ancient gear, spellcaster decks. Every archetype had it's own unique effects and strategies, but now it's all about the extradeck.....first came the syncro, and the game was still decent enough but then the xyz ruined it. Funny thing about victory dragon: In yugioh, you're allowed to concede the game at any point for any reason you choose. A big problem was that you'd summon victory dragon, about to win the match, but the player would forfeit instead, and go onto game 2 or 3. I know some judges would say you're not allowed to just to be kind to those that got out victory dragon, but in an official tourney, you could just scoop before victory dragon scores them the match win.

also time seal is banned because the loop can still occur. Granted, you can do a lot in 2017 that you can potentially win the duel without drawing a single card, using your starting hand. (sky iris+iris magician is an example). Since decks are so fast, you could search time seal off of a few trap cards, and have access to mask of restrict X3 and tsuk X3. the combo would be pretty easy to complete. combine paleozoics with it, and you're in for a bad time.

Vampire Lord was limited to 1 because during Dark Crisis Jinzo was put back to 3 and the number of Traps people used went from like 16 to 5 or 6. So you would deal damage with Vampire Lord declaring Trap and no matter what they picked, they would have to take something important out.

if you goes second you really need to draw into it aswell as if your opponent play decks like zoodiac beast or some decks that has monsters that prevent your from making your play... anti spell and necrovalley isnt good as good in going second cause your opponent has an established board already... i think its a really good side deck card and theres a low percentage that you would draw 2 onto your second turn... you just want to maximize drawing into it if your playing it against decks that spam their board with lots of monsters that you can use raigeki on...

The reason for vampire lord being limited is pretty simple. He was a 2k beater that could come back incredibly easy. Incredibly OP back in the day. His effect of delcaring card type didn't really amtter that much.

Time seal was band because the ruling was is you skip the draw phase you also skip the standby phase so it disrupted certain cards like treeborn frog or gold sarc, etc. Disc commander is still banned because of zombies and zombie world loops. Either draw into exodia or mill your opponent out. I think Stratos is still banned because there was a 2 card 1st Turn otk burn deck. It ran like black garden and the fusion monster that burns your opponent for the number of monster on the field.

Timeseal combo works like this: Use Time seal. Flip mask of darkness, add Time seal back to your hand and set time seal again. Summon Tsukoyomi and flip mask of darkness down again to use for the next turn. Repeat loop.

But still, even if time seal would come back with an errata like: you cannot add this card back to your hand or something, time seal would still be great i think. The simple fact that you can stop your opponent from adding a card during his next turn gives too much advantage. Drastic Drop off is not quite the same thing since you still get to discard the card you draw ti the graveyard, so maybe you can use it in the graveyard.

Already up to the first card and you've already got it wrong. Twin-Headed Behemoth wasn't limited because it was a super powerful card. It was limited because there were ruling issues related to it's once per duel effect. Since at the time the card didn't say 'You can only use the effect of "Twin-Headed Behemoth" once per duel', but simply only said 'You can only use this effect once per duel', it meant that the effect would only apply to individual cards. This meant that if one was shuffled back into the deck, it was impossible to keep track of which had used their effects. The card was erratad in order to resolve this issue. But the card was never limited for being super powerful.
