The truth is showcase videos should not be on the main LTT channel and they should instead expand Short Circuit to include showcases. Isn't that the whole point of the channel in the first place? To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. kzbin.infoUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

I've had the FP8's for a week and returned them, they hurt my ears. And the ANC was very weak as well. Now I have the older FN7's. More comfortable (that is an individual thing, I know), but the ANC is so much better. Why did they regress so badly with the new ones? They had it working perfectly. I bought the FP8s in September off Amazon and imported to Australia because I wanted some noise cancelling earbuds for summer for the commute. They're absolutely fantastic - they fit comfortably, music sounds great with them, I've had plenty of phone calls while on a bus or on the city street in Sydney and nobody has issues hearing me. I can wear them with ANC on from when I leave home and not take them off until lunchtime for a top up charge, and do the same in the afternoon until I get home and the battery has never been an issue for me. Yes sometimes theres a little lag at first when you play a video but usually if you pause then continue it's fine and might only happen at the start. Battery is great, and noise cancelling is good enough to lower the volume of everything around me. It doesnt block it out completely by any means but even music at a low volume overpowers any outside noise easily. I like the sound more than the Airpods pro as well and these are so much cheaper. Total rec from me - I kinda wish I got the fp9 since I don't wirelessly charge anything and like to play Switch on the train, but otherwise these are really good.

I sleep with AirPods in every night, and am also a side sleeper. I went through two pairs of standard AirPods, each pair losing the left airpod functionality, each after about a year. This led me to conclude two things: 1. I favor sleeping on my left side. 2. The heat generated while the airpod is smashed up between my ear and pillow every night probably caused the failures. I’ve been using a pair of airpod pros to sleep with each night and have yet to have a hardware failure after 15 months. Wondering if these will fail soon, or if due to their different design may survive the heat a little better? Regardless, would be nice to have a manufacturer intentionally design a pair of wireless earbuds to withstand being used while in bed. There are dozens of us who fall asleep with earbuds in, DOZENS!

As someone who has spent hundreds of dollars on different wireless earbud brands and styles over the past four years, I immediately dislike that these are touch controls instead of a physical button. When that’s the case, you keep pausing or unpausing audio when you adjust your earbuds or just brush them. Super annoying, IMO. The other red flag is you don’t say what all controls are supported. Can the earbuds work with a single earbuds in (my preferred method)? If so, can you do all the essential controls (play/pause, skip forward, skip backward, digital assistant, hang up call) from BOTH earbuds, or do the left and right have different controls (which sucks, IMO)? I was initially intrigued, but if the product can’t boast those basic features, I’m not interested. It’s also not clear if these work equally well for both Android and iPhone devices. The call quality sounds pretty poor to me and no one is going to bother with that dumb feature of holding your earbud in front of you to whisper. Just put your phone up to your ear and whisper into that.

@@isl1ngt0n Cool then don't give an opinion. Give for example the frequency response. "Hey, compared to the 2018 harman target, out of the box these sound a bit bassey with the top end a bit higher, so a slight V shape overall" or something similar.

usually I can't stand LTT sponsored videos, but between the seeming honest review, the 3.5mm wired -> wireless feature, the shake fitment test, and the comfort I'm sold. I picked up a pair on amazon (sorry linus your affiliate link was sold out) after a few other reviewers confirmed your findings. I loved the pillow test as I also tend to lay down with my headphones or earbuds in watching netflix on my pc (hence the 3.5mm connection to my audio mixer). These would be great for streaming too

I know this is an old video but i picked up an fp8 after watching this. LG are giving them out bundled with their TVs so my local marketplace is flooded with people selling them to get some money back. I picked one up for 45$ lol. They really are comfortable. I was daily driving an anker soundcore liberty air 2 and this is much smaller, lighter and comfortable in the ear

Everything LG makes is some kind of amazing or another. People sneeze on LG all the time. And it's a damn shame too because their cell phones rivaled anything else out there and with better features and a cheaper price.

I've had a brand new LG phone every two years for the past 10-plus years and after trying a pixel 4 and a Samsung Galaxy something-or-other, they didn't compare to the features LG offered. The multi-item clipboard, the way the voice dictation was adjustable, so many things that LG did that the competitors didn't, I'm just heartbroken that they dropped out of the mobile market. But I'm glad to see that some of their other products in other markets are being recognized

So these look extremely similar to Anker Soundcore's Liberty Air 2 Pro from 2020. Your review on those convinced me to get them about this time last year, and I'm still enjoying them daily. Some of the app features you applaud LG for here have been in Soundcore's app for quite some time, such as different levels of noise cancellation. Honestly, I think the only appreciable difference in the two sets is the 3.5mm-TypeC audio passthrough. Basically, I think it's worth mentioning that there is another option about $60 cheaper with nearly the same functionality.

now I'm not sure, but wouldn't whisper mode mean that it picks up more sound at quieter noise levels. so it'll still pick up normal volume just as normal if not maybe slighty boosted and the intended use for whisper mode is if you want to whisper talk in a quiet environment like a library.

Purchased my fn6 about 8 months ago. Got a great deal on them. My last favorite Bluetooth earbuds were tone actives hbs a100, a dozen pairs of earbuds later I tried the fn6s and I absolutely love them. If I could rock a new pair of hbs a100s I would, and the fn6 (or any fn series) would be the pocket pair. Hbs a100 went over he neck, included stereo speakers to listen to your music without having your earbuds in. The sound stage was perfect... I wore those around my neck til the batteries stopped holding a charge. RIP.

BUYER BEWARE - These headphones are awesome and super comfortable, I honestly love them. However, after less than 2 months of use, the adhesive on one of the earbuds started to fail and now the earbud can easily be pulled entirely apart and does not seat back together perfectly. No problem I thought it was 2 months so surely LG support would help, nope they want me to send in the headphones 1-2 week standard repair. Can't tell me for sure over the phone if it's covered under the manufacturer warranty, if it's not covered the repair would cost $45-$120, if I decline the repair I still need to pay them $20 to ship my broken headphones back to me to cover the 'diagnostic fee'. Super disappointing, I only wanted to go through the proper process because I'm not equipped with the right adhesives for the water resistance and I didn't want to void my warranty by messing up a DIY repair, but turns our the warranty isn't worth anything anyway so it doesn't matter I'll be repairing them myself anyway! Oh, and I have been avoiding using that earbud for about 2 weeks while I waited to hear back from their support team after my initial warranty form submission.

Wtf.. :( So I guess they won't even release new firmware fixing some annoying issues (can't toggle off ANC/ambient mode with long press, can't reprogram the long press function at all and honestly the equalizer is a POS. The custom presets are so much quieter than all other presets and the "Neutral" sounds dull AF.. only "Treble Boost" is somehow decent. The showcase made me buy these but I'm seriously disappointed! Other than the fit / comfort they don't have much going for them. The 3.5mm jack connection is cool but that's not why I buy in-ears..

No comparisons, details on sound quality, real world battery performance, or how the ANC performs?? This seems more like a ShortCircuit than an LTT video. It doesn't help that it's sponsored so it feels like you're intentionally not talking about those points to stay faithful to whatever feature disclosure guide they made for you and so that you don't speak poorly about the product. I thought LTT was all about having faithful, in-depth, and unbiased reviews, regardless of who's in their Sponsor spot or not. 🤷♀

They already exist, they're called the Nothing Ear 1 from the new company "Nothing" made by one of the original founders of OnePlus. They're $99 and have Active Noise Cancelling and are loud with heavy bass. Flossy Carter(who's one of the best down-to-earth in-depth tech reviewers on KZbin IMO) gave the Nothing Ear 1's a "Triple Major Go", said they sounded great for the price, and called them one of the best deals in wireless earbuds. "Triple Major Go" is basically his equivalent of an 90-95 out of 100 or an A. "Quad Major Go" would be basically a 100 out of 100 or an A+. he generally only gives that score to high end stuff that live up to their high price. So Triple Major Go is pretty much as good as it gets for $99 buds.
