@llCoupDEtatll
If I am being perfectly honest, I have watched them less as watcher than I did when they were buzzfeed unsolved. Because while they seem to think that all the money they are blowing on production cost is worth it, I frankly think that their content has become OVER produced, to the point where it doesnt feel genuine anymore. Like it just feels like everything, even the jokes, are scripted.
@maxconstar7731
"I learned how to be a human on KZbin" sounds so corny....did they not have parents?
@TheDarkOneIsRising
Watching their video felt like a boyfriend breaking up with me out of nowhere, telling "it's not you, it's me" and then suggesting I subscribe to his only fan if I want to keep enjoying what I was getting...
@newageweeb4049
Been a fan for like 10 years. The dude that said the price is affordable for everyone is the production director. Should have stayed behind the scenes because he's seen as the bad guy now.
@nff_1950
i definitely not gonna pay 5$ monthly just to see steven eat expensive food lol.
@amarism2331
The irony is that they initially had 3 million subscribers- and now they are at 2.8, which says a lot…
@Elle-elle-elle
So it turns out that:
@minomushi_hitogata
There was a Puppet History episode where Shane as the professor talks about how class influenced seating arrangements at fancy gatherings back in the day and phrased a part as "that is where the poor nobodies would sit" as a criticism of classism, but now it feels like Watcher has called its audience the poor nobodies and established this same system of class within their very own fanbase lol so now I have to wonder if he was critical or approving
@ct5625
They spent half the video reminiscing about their past, a quarter of it explaining that their own fans on KZbin have made them wildly successful, and the last quarter saying it's not good enough and we all have to pay up so Steven Lim can fly around the world eating gold covered caviar with his buddies.
@sachiekind
What about the people watching for free in the developing world who now would be charged for their content?! How do you tell them your content is worth possibly a weeks or a months salary depending on where they live!It’s disgusting!!
@elhazthorn918
I've watched more videos talking about Watcher in the past couple days, more than I've watched Watcher since they became Watcher.
@tomasje
Loaded up the vid expecting it was a 100k+ yt channel, keep up the work man you got potential
@EvilOdysseus
For some reason, it reminds me of the time TheFineBros tried to trademark the word React
@NadjahCY
Update since they posted the video.
@toyamwarr
While all their subscribers may $6 a month, the question Watcher didn’t ask before this decision was: would their subscribers willingly spend that $6 a month on them?
@KGBSpyGeorgeCostanza
worst part is they like to call themselves independent, HA!!
@abcdef12399
I didnt know watcher channel. This is so absurd they abandon their channel while they can earn youtube ads + sponsors with 3 millon subs channel.
@xndr3
Great video man! As a long time Watcher subscriber, you are probably one of the best commentary channels I have seen at articulating the entire situation while not taking 30+ minutes to do so lol. Earned a sub from me
@KayKayLaLa.
Apology and change of decision video is now posted on their channel!
@beardedentity
They really said they learn to be human on youtube. That's just f up. Lol. I was a dedicated fan of them in their Buzzfeed Unsolved days. When they become Watcher, their format does not appeal to me anymore. Seems like now I understand why.
