My daughter recently passed away in September 2023. She loved butterflies. I have some butterfly fabric i bought for her a long time ago and didn't know what to do with it. I am going to make this tree out of it. It will be a nice reminder of her love of butterflies. Thank you for the pattern.

Oh. My. Goodness!! Fun, Adorable, and Easy!!! My kind of project! I am so merry after making my first one last night before bed (because I wasn’t going to be able to fall asleep dreaming sugar plum fairies until I gave it a try). I couldn’t wait to get out of bed this morning to go into the kitchen and stare at my tree. It’s adorable. It will be so fun picking out fabric for these trees. Thank you for sharing this FREE pattern with all of us and spreading Christmas JOY!

I saved this video over a year ago and when I watched it back then, I was a complete beginner and was a bit overwhelmed by it to be honest. But I saved it and today was going through my older saved videos and after watching again, I knew I could now easily do this and plan on doing it. So I would guess I am now beginner-lite.😅 It’s amazing how one can learn in a year.

I just made my first tree using your video as a guide. I would make a couple of suggestions when sewing the pieces. First, I would suggest using a 40 weight thread. Second, I would double stitch the pieces together. I had to hand sew a couple of places where the stitching did not hold when stuffing, especially in the “elbow” areas. Otherwise, came out nice and will be making more. Thanks for making the process easy.

Using a shorter stitch length should help vs double stitching, but that works too! 😊
