On the one hand the frequencies of fabrics are what they are, but I wonder if you could raise the frequencies of lesser fabrics through prayer or intention setting - kind of like a laying on of hands for the quilt or fabric, to pray or set an intention for it to have healing qualities. If it would even work, it's probably something that would have to be repeated over time to enhance the frequency, as it would likely diminish. Dr. Emoto did experiments with rice and water, among other things, and he found that positive, loving thoughts, could keep rice from molding, as well as change the shape/structure of water and how it appeared under a microscope. He also showed that the water molecules were affected by music - favorably with classical music, unfavorably with heavy metal music. So maybe if a quilt was made with prayers and healing intentions, the positive energy built into the quilt we bring up the frequency. And for things already made, or even after a quilt was completed, if you had get-togethers where you would pray over and bless the quilts, maybe it would really be a game changer to lift the frequency of the quilts and imbue them with more healing power. Just a thought....

This is just cool. Couldn't quilt worth a hoot if my life depended on it but now I want to give it a go. I'd also like to study the Biblical references to perhaps gain further insight. And, decided to subscribe to learn more. Thank you so much!

Im an experienced sewer / cross stitcher, but quilting newby. I LOVED sleeping on my grandmothers 100% cotton sheets. I requested them upon her passing but my narcisstic mother made sure I did not get them.😢 You know when you hear truth, in your soul. I know without doubt there is a frequency and plants recogize people that have been cruel to them. Studies have been done on that too. New subscriber!! I have a Viking sewing machine that quilts from doing French Heirloom sewing by machine on making my daughter's dresses. I learned sooo much from the linen quilt. I just bought my dogs new winter jackets. Im going to line them with linen. And make linen bed covers for their dog beds.

Don’t be surprised if security says “no” to your scissors and magnets- they kept my 3 crochet hooks, fortunately I had 1 bamboo hook in my purse. Just saying-

Your quilt is beautiful . I wish I could FMQ like you. Maybe I just don't practice enough. It will be good to see it all finished next year. In the meanwhile I wish you a very happy Christmas and New Year. Thanks for a great year of your sewing expertise.

I think you are being too hard on yourself. I never judge a quilt until it is quilted, squared, and bound. Even if you don't like it - I think it is just lovely.

The "Swan Scrolls" as I call them, and Holly are gorgeous. You are really too hard on yourself. The gold and black are a sophisticated touch. Please do a FMQ For Dummies video/series. I want to get two flat linen sheets and quilt it like your white on white example but I've never done it.

Your quilt is beautiful! I’m living vicariously through you and my KZbin family. My projects have taken a back burner because my husband had a total shoulder replacement surgery on Dec 2, my aunt passed on Dec 4, I sprained my ankle the 5th, fractured my back on the 10th and my uncle passed on the 12th. I’m waiting for insurance to approve back surgery and am on bed rest until then! This year Christmas will look a bit different! During it all, we remember the reason for the season! Merry Christmas to you and yours!❤

I think you did very well with the free motion quilting, the quilt looks wonderful. Quilting on home machine seem, to work better if quilted loosely, but that's me.

This was so cool to watch! It came out beautiful! I don't think I could ever fmq. I can't even straight line quilt! 😄 I would love to learn but I would probably sew myself into a corner and get stuck or leave huge empty spots! Anyway, Merry Christmas to you and your family! Be blessed!❤
@ChristineKrannich18 сағат бұрын
Tracy, you are so hard on yourself. Did you really remove all of the original quilting from the entire quilt? How long did that take? I’m envious of how well so many people FMQ. I have tried a little but decided I think I’ll work through the Walk and Walk 2.0 books before I try again. Consistency in straight line quilting first seems like a good idea then try some free motion stuff on unimportant projects before I attempt it on a quilt. Have a very Merry Christmas!
