You chain the width horizontally? What is the width of a Rectangular shawl? I have never made one before. How long is too long?
@TheSewingSwan6 жыл бұрын
Darlene Jordan Yes Width is chained horizontally and we build up adding rows. Shawl in this tutorial is about 50 inches width fits a medium sized lady perfectly. This can be an average shawl size. If you want it bigger or smaller just chain sets of three as mentioned in the video until you have the desired width then ad two and proceed to the next row. Hope this helps✨

Trying to make this beautiful shaw for a prayer shaw. It looks like it trying to curl and on row 3. Any suggestions or is that how its supposed to look at the beginning?
@TheSewingSwan6 жыл бұрын
Regina Vick Hi dear! One major reason for unwanted curling in crochet is uneven stitches or missing or skipping stitches. In this pattern you may have missed some of the stitches in between the V. The couple of chained between the two double crochet in the second row, shut his created tightness in the third row. So let’s get the third row undone and have a closer look into the chain stitches.. Hope this help you figure it out and let me know🌹 Please share this video✨

So us this made horizontally? What is the standard length of a shawl?
@TheSewingSwan6 жыл бұрын
Darlene Jordan Hi there! Yes, it is made horizontally, and you decide the length of of the shawl according to your preference and the length of your foundation chain decides it. full rap you will need to make a chain line that can rap around you the way you want the shawl to be. Thank you for stopping by and let me know if I can help further🌹 Please share this tutorial✨
