an idea just popped up when you asked for suggestions. How about a can-can girl from Country Bear Jamboree at Disney World. also, Edwardian is not usually my cup of tea but I really like this ensemble, you did a great job and it looks really good on you.

I'm glad you made up this pattern because to be honest the example on the cover of the pattern looks so frumpy and unflattering that I never thought of trying it 😅 but now I definitely will because yours looks great

On a different note - that background blue wallpaper! Swoon! Oh, and love your project too. I love how you take an idea and creatively interpret the key components to form such a wonderful representation of the original concept. Brilliant.

Hello! Love the channel! Love your work! Love your sense of humor! Perhaps the next Disney project should be the woman on Pirates of The Caribbean that's being sold in the town square. Seems to fit with the Edwardian and Victorian time periods. ;)

So, to correct myself, I did a little Google search and found out that it was actually the Georgian Era. At least, I think that's correct.

It turned out great! The silhouette is just sooo good 🙌 I'm one of those long armed gals too who always has to add a little bit to the sleeves. (When I'm lazy, I just make the cuffs longer, but don't tell anyone 🤫 😉🤭 )

Such a great ensemble! Even more beautiful than the original! Sadly I don't know much about the American attractions... Peter Pan's Flight maybe? Around 1906

Here is a Disneybound attraction suggestion: how about you make a historical outfit inspired by one of the dolls in "It's a Small World?"
@rd62033 жыл бұрын
Have black cat. He furs on everything. Hair magically turns grey on contact... shows up on everything 😫 He wins. Also, you need to pitch this to Disney, because it is way better than theirs

Loving the black and green stripes! That apron is really cute! Secretly tall -- I dunno. Maybe you better measure yourself. When I was 28, I grew another half an inch. I thought all my clothes were shrinking in the wash -- nope, just me growing , AGAIN. Hee hee, maybe you grew another 4 inches! Tower of terror bellhop, but bustle era.

Enjoyed the video. I have a question: when you make a facing for your skirt, do you use the bottom few inches of the pattern piece as a pattern for the facing so that you get the same curve, or do you just “wing it” and cut something out that looks like it has a similar curve to it? I realize that creating a facing for a more fitted pattern piece such as the bodice would require more exactness, but I’m wondering if you have to be that careful with a hem. Thank you.
@thesewloartist3 жыл бұрын
Well the “right” way to do it is definitely how you describe! It’s best to you’d the bottom inches as a guide but I almost never do that. Most skirts have such a gentle curve to to them they don’t really require that level of precision IMO. I just cut a four inch strip on the bias and ease it as I go. A more experienced seamstress might be able to explain the disadvantages of that method, but I’ve never had any problems with it!
