The 49ers drafted Moody, mostly because Michigan's Head Coach Jim Harbaugh used his connections to people in the head office at 49ers head quarter, in order to highly recommend graduating senior Jake Moody. Now that Coach Harbaugh is in the NFL, we should ask him for a refund on Jake Moody and trade him to the Chargers for a 5th or 6th round pick in 2025 or 2026.

We are not accusing Jake of murder, it’s his job in the NFL where high-level performance is expected and paid for. This is not about being nice. He is a drag to the team and the fans. It's not just his yips, that onside kick at the end of the game that drew the penalty was awful and inexcusable. This can't happen. What happens if the game is close and actually means something, then count the game as a loss for the Niners.

Agree with you, one lost game wasn’t only because of missed kicks last I checked there were 12 points missed with picks Brock threw. They came out strong and second half even the defense had given up. So yeah blame the kicker but this was just one of those years. I have not liked Jake Moody since the beginning. I felt they should have cut him last year. Remember he missed a PAT in the superbowl! Don’t forget that. It would have totally changed the narrative. Because KC would have had to score to take the lead not tie us. With less than a minute left in the game, but they couldn’t score. They tied us with a FG for OT.. look kicking is hard. It really is the problem drafting a kicker high in the draft. The pressure is so high for Moody to be perfect and you can see it on his face. It was always going to be impossible for him to live up to that draft position. I feel like they did him a disservice drafting him so high.

Totally. Moody costed SF 7 points at Lions game, which SF lost by 6. Even this novice was able to see that. SF special team sucks. Lots of things went wrong, not just the injuries. The team had no discipline - too many penalties which either gave the opposing team chances after chances, but also nullified offensive yards. I don't remember how the last super bowl, SF vs Kansa City, went down so I looked it up. True, Moody's blocked extra point led to a tie game which SF lost. Games at high level (playoffs) simply can't have any mistakes.
