To start off a new year, I present the next installment of Top 10 BIONICLE Characters! After the unprecedented success and fun of the last Top 10, I had to make another albeit different one. More specifically, the characters that mean the most to me. These are my favorite figures and beings in the lore that have left the most imprint on me. Never had I thought that a toy line would actually affect me, but surprises beheld. From heroes to villains, let's find out together as we dive into my Top 10 FAVORITE BIONICLE Characters...

Speaking of Lhikan, for those of you who never watched the movies (in which case, WHATTAYA DOING?!): That Kanohi Hau that Jaller wore as a Matoran was actually Lhikan's Hau, after Jaller's original Matoran-Kanohi (I believe it was a red Komau) broke.

I think one of my favorite is Nokama. She kept the team together, and was the heart of the group. She believed in Vakama when he didn’t.

Back when i first got my hands on the Legends of Metru Nui movie i didnt really think much about Toa Lhikan or his great role in the history of Bionicle, i only knew the movies, i never had the comics or books. But then i rewatched it this year and oh boy.....What a journey, i had ofcourse researched the lore of Bionicle a good few years before this and it made me understand Toa Lhikan better, all the responsibility he had in the wars, having to banish his brother and sister then ultimatly sacrificed himself to save Vakama......He truly became one of my favorite characters in all of Bionicle...

Number one favourite is currently and still is the 2001 Toa Mata Tahu, his quality is cool, even before reading the comics and novels and seeing the film, and after seeing the films he may be hot tempered, he at least is still consistently serious about his mission in a fight against evil. If Lego did a shared universe series, I always wanted to see him communicate with other Lego original characters like Jay from Ninjago and even the Lego Friends and Elves as well as the Nexo Knights jazz, to give them a name similar to Justice League and the Avengers, I call them Master Builders.

I feel that Nuparu, from 2002 and later in 2006-07 was the best. He turned the tide of the bohrok war, allowing the toa to focus their efforts on ending the bohrok invasion with the invention of the boxor, which he did with scraps in dire circumstances. He later became a toa, but he had a lot of potential that was wasted in the story, seeing as he was such a great engineer.

my favorites are: Sahmad: his back-story and his bitterness make him the most sympathetic character. driven mad by losing his tribe and his love, but lastly avenging all of his lost friends, by tricking Annona, warping her into a world, only filled with beings like her. I think he deserved it the least to fall into the role of a villain, considering how the bigoted Agori-society treated him. Krika: he seems very relatable for me, alteast. his emptiness and just complying with the villain, because he sees no hope in rebellion... and him sparing Gali's life, when he could've killed her, even wanting to save his fellow Makuta from Teridax' plan... why? why did he have to die? Dark Hunter Primal: this guy should've been given a greater spotlight. His concept is just very interesting to me. a Dark Hunter with morals? SIGN ME THE FUCK IN! Lhikan: also one of my favorite Toa, that says much, because the Toa are my least favorite species (i'm desperate for more non-Toa heroes, ok?). His caring and sacrificing efforts make him the best Toa. I also would bet that he would even be willing to fight for non-Matoran folks Vezon: he's funny and a nice breaker of a sinister atmosphere. i could imagine him as a Till Owlyglass-kind of character. going from place to place, just to screw around. Tarduk: i just like this Agori of an indiana Jones. Macku: the most precious Matoran and nobody can tell me otherwise! Velika: i think he is an even better villain than Teridax. mainly because he is a great being, one that was originally a creator. him being a villain also breaks the dichotomy of "good species vs. bad species" into shatters. Mantax: i dunno, for some reason i like him the most as Barraki. i could see him with the most redemption potential Thok: this guy is just perfect asshole-material, most fitting for the term "piraka", also his sass always kills me everytime. Takadox: sinister under the covers of a sunny boy. even a better traitor than Roodaka. mainly because he doesn't throw any tantrums like that big-sized spoiled visorak-princess of a Vortixx.
