I got an email from compliance and have learned alot today!! They also provided me with a list of 100's of words that are not allowed to be used. So they said the word "amazon" cannot be used anywhere! My previous name had that word in there so I had to change all of my names on the accounts I have. I was also told by one rep that you dont need to put the disclaimer next to EVERY link post, that the bio alone is good enough but another rep said a disclaimer has to be put next to EVERY link! Even something as simple as "commission earned" or "paid link". So thankful for these videos! So many rules that people may not be aware of.

@@crystalviolet2711 what I have found is, we’re definitely not allowed to add the title to thumbnails, or when, posting on other social media platforms, we shouldn’t have the word typed on any of the videos. I still save influencers doing this all the time, but those are supposedly red flags.

Just start getting on Facebook Twitter and start blogging build global traffic with likes and impressions my advice is to build that up before joining Amazon so when you get monetized after them 3 sales the pressure basically go away and don't get confused them clicks can still be sales from the product you promoted through your website... build a social media pages up first then get a custom website build... good luck 💪🏼💯

You can use their site stripe and add their images to your blog via the HTML code they provide, or with the help of Amazon approved tools such as www.thesheapproach.com/lasso. But you are not able to screenshot or download images and use them as your own otherwise.

Nope - no minimum requirement. I joined with a blog that has no social media presence. As long as you have a website, you're good to go. Or in some cases, you can join as your platform of choice being a social media channel instead. But starting a blog is recommended!

I’ve watched a lot of videos about the “listing price” issue for an Amazon associate and I am SO confused. How do the people know the discount of the items if we can’t list the price? I don’t want to get banned or kicked out so I’m really trying to update my page. I’m now listing prices and the short links to products because I had no idea 😫

Ok question, so if family or friends are not allowed to buy on our links why are we sharing them on our social media? That makes no sense what so ever because they may order and get us kicked out of the program.

They usually won't kick you off if what they deem friends or family buy through your link (and this is usually people who share your last name, have used the same wifi etc, or that they find connections with) - they will just discount those sales. And they don't consider all people who follow you on social media as friends or family technically, but they won't really say what counts and doesn't, it's just up to their discretion. Just go on about it as you do - don't encourage people you know to buy through your links, but you don't have to do anything to prevent it either.

Nope, and it doesn't matter. You are able to send what traffic you want to your blog pages, social media etc. But the Amazon link/product image needs to be on that page, and not behind any "online wall".

Hi! This video was so helpful thank you. I joined the amazon program, got some sales but then was removed and your video made it clear a couple of things i must of done wrong. I just had a question, when posting multiple stories with links to products, does every story have to have the caption " As an amazon associate I earn from qualifying purchases" OR is it okay if i just hashtag #affiliate? Hi Courtney! So glad this helped! On social media you can just use the #affiliatelink hashtag or something similar and shorter - you are not expected to have the full disclaimer. But yes, it needs to be on every story with an affiliate link. And to be totally honest - not sure how the photo rules apply to Instagram - especially for such short-lived content. You might be able to get away with screenshotting / recording your screen and showing the Amazon product page, but it's best to check with their team. Otherwise, influencers usually show the actual product that they bought from Amazon, creating their own content around it, or showing similar products - like a backpack they like - and then adding the link to say "shop similar backpacks on Amazon" for example.

Amazon is not very clear - so it's often to their discretion if they will approve a sale. But most of the time, no, they are not considered friends as they are an online audience. (Especially if they are not physically very close to you.)

You can absolutely still lead family and friends to your website. If they happen to click on your affiliate links and buy something, Amazon will just discount the sale (this is done especially for people living at the same address or in close proximity - but sometimes they can't tell).

Nope - anchoring links to words or images is allowed. Hiding/cloaking links would mean using something like Bitly so when people click on that they are taken to your affiliate link which takes them to Amazon. You just need a direct link with no redirecting.

Glad it helped! And it doesn't really matter - if you have the link saved you can use that one. If not, just generate a new one when needed. Your core affiliate link will remain the same, but the shortened version is often generated randomly on the spot, and that's the only difference. But they will both lead to the same product/page.

Doing Amazon exclusively won't affect that - you just have to declare income you earn online regardless, but that depends on your residence and changes from country to country (or even from state to state in the US).

No, you can't repost, download or screenshot any videos or product images. But you can take your own videos of the products and post those instead!

There are some rare items that don't qualify for commission. And if they don't, Amazon will say they can't generate an affiliate link for it when you try to. But it's very rare! Other than that, you get commission on everything! If you link to a mascara, but someone buys vitamins after clicking on your link, you still get a commission for their entire cart value! Bounties are set rewards (so you get a certain number of $ instead of a percentage) for specific action - like starting a Prime free trial or creating a wedding registry via Amazon. You can find more info here: affiliate-program.amazon.com/resource-center/the-amazon-bounty-program-101---a-guide-for-associates. But the good news is that you can get paid for actions your audience takes that doesn't cost them anything either!

Yupp! Affiliate links on Instagram (in stories, linked in bio and so on) are allowed, if your account is public. Loads of content creators use them. Just add a hashtag like #affiliatelink in text on the story with the link (or you can verbally say it if it’s a spoken story).
