Ok question: If I want to post a link on my KZbin Channel in a video description that leads people to my Amazon Store Front. Do I use in Site Stripe the store ID for the Affiliate program or the ID for the Influencer program. For some reason I see in my affiliates reporting data I had last 30 days 36k clicks but no sales. Whatever works best for you! For influencers, most of the content you film and add for onsite commissions is vertical anyways, but you can edit on a laptop if you find it easier, then transfer your videos. For managing blogs and websites, I find it much easier on a laptop.

Yes, it's created through the Amazon influencer dashboard, you don;'t need your own website or software to create it.

The one link feature isn't available for the influencer program - only for the affiliate program. You can sign up and create multiple stores for the different countries (US, UK etc) and add them both on your blog / Instagram treelinks and so forth. The geo-tracking will only work for links you generate using the affiliate site-stripe. And yes - you can still share these on your blog/socials. But they usually lead to just one Amazon product, not your previously created storefront.

I got both but didn't know. Lol. When i sign up for US amazon associate, I got email about. And so I forgot about it. For the influencer program in Canada, I sign up with linking my tiktok account and got approved fast. I created my store front and put the link into my 3 platforms. Influencer links are allowed in emails, PDFs etc. But you can only link to your entire storefront, or a specific category in there, not to individual products. Affiliates can link to individual products, but affiliate links are only allowed on public platforms.

Thanks for this detailed discussion. I am currently an Amazon Affiliate (for about a year now). I have a KZbin channel. I get about 500 views a day across my 200+ videos. I also have an Instagram account and make posts maybe every two weeks with images from my videos. I've gotten to the point where I have over 60 affiliate links across 6 categories which I promote in the description of my videos. I'm almost hitting the limit of characters for a KZbin description. I do have a few questions: 1) Is there some better way to organize my many affiliate links so that they don't consume so much of my KZbin descriptions? 2) I think that I will get a commission for any product on Amazon someone buys after using my affiliate link, even a product for which I'm not an affiliate. This is not true for my Influencer store. So Affiliate links may be more profitable than an influencer store. 3) You said you are both an Affiliate Associate and an Influencer. I'm wondering if I should join the Influencer program also, I could affiliate links in my descriptions for specific products I think would be appropriate for each video; along with my Influencer Store link for more general shopping. My concern would be that I don't get sufficient action on my store to be kept in the program. Thanks

60 affiliate links in each video description seems overwhelming and is probably not very effective. I would stick to max 5 links per category and try to keep them as relevant as possible to each video. A better way to display and organize your links if you have multiple products to share is to create detailed blog posts on your own blogging platform instead. And perhaphs a "shop my favourites" page - that I showcase in my most recent video - to create your own shop. I'd stick to the Amazon affiliates instead of trying to do both that and the influencer program, as that would just be an extra hassle and it will split your earnings.

They do - but the cookies only last 24 hours after someone clicks on your affiliate link, and it doesn’t transfer between the different Amazon Marketplaces. Aka if they get sent to the UK website but cannot purchase there, and go in by themselves to the US Amazon, the cookie won’t transfer.

You can't share any of those videos on your own channel unless you get permission from the individual sellers. It's easier to create your own product videos or use stock videos.

These customers always ask me about certain products they can buy in regards to whatever they're working on. This requires me to do research and often times I find products on Amazon using my phone. It's give me an option to share the link but how do I get credit when sending the products through text message to a customer who wants them??

You would need a public landing page. Create one for each client, and add the product links there. No one can find that page without the link, so if you have a website, it won't show up anywhere on the homepage, and you can share the custom link in a private conversation. Amazon will just track the sales as coming from your publicly accesible website, which respects their rules.

An Amazon associate is an affiliate - you lead people to buy off Amazon, but none of the products are yours. An Amazon seller is someone who has a Seller account and owns the listing, carries the stock etc.

The cookie is only valid for affiliates. For influencers, they have to buy through your storefront directly after (in the same session). If they go to Amazon after, but close your window, you won't get a commission. But it really depends - if you can convert people on the spot and want to be able to share your storefront link more liberally, the influencer might be a better fit. But I find that affiliates convert a little better.

Ahh, that's a tricky one! Influencer videos happen on the platform and they might be enough to generate income so you can keep that account active, while sharing Amazon affiliate links otherwise to monetize international traffic.

I am supposed to decide between creating a new account or using my existing personal amazon account (But with this disclaimer: Your shopping history, product reviews, lists and other content you have created on Amazon will be associated with your influencer account). I don't want to pay for 2 amazon accounts, so I think I would just select my existing account, but then it automatically connects to my personal instagram page and not my pet page. So I am not sure what to do. Do I just create a brand new amazon account for my pet and just not pay for the prime membership that I already have on my existing account?

You do not need to have a prime membership linked to your Amazon account for it to allow you to sign up as an influencer or affiliate. Just create a new Amazon account at that step, and only use that Amazon shopper account to connect to a new influencer account. You can continue to use your main Amazon account to do your shopping as regular.

What would you suggest for a new small business youtube channel and no followers but plan to link products i use in my small business for future followers to buy? And would i have to ipen a canada, usa and uk account separately to provide separate location links for example the one product ie: heat press?

Ah I don’t know high one to do. I set up the associates with the one link which is great as I will have international traffic, but I don’t really want to create a website / blog. Whereas if I set up the influencer program it would save me setting up a website but then I’d lose international traffic. Argh

You can still be an affiliate and just share those links on social media/KZbin without a website. It's harder to share images, unless you take your own photos of the products, but it's doable!

You don't get to create a storefront as an affiliate, but you can replicate it on your website/blog if you want something that looks similar.
