I work for Natural Gas company in Canada. I really enjoyed this tutorial on how Gas system works in Russia. Thank you, very good job. We also charge Gas usage at M3. Our gas meters appear similar in ways, however I do not see where pressure regulator is located. Ours are at the meter. Also, I found it interesting that Gas piping is above ground. Ours are all buried underground. Larger diameter and high pressure lines are typically steel, but smaller service lines are plastic. Hi Dan, I am in the Northeast US and have the same kind of heat as you and since you are trying to improve your English, which is very good, what you call a battery where your heat come from, we call a radiator. My boiler that heats the water uses oil for fuel instead of gas. Most houses here use either oil or gas. Some use electric heating, but this is most expensive. Best of luck to you and your family. Its nice to know with all that is going on, average normal people still want to get along and be friends, not enemies. Be safe and well.

I think the battery thing is what Belgians call an 'accumulatorkachel' (accumulative-heater) and I wouldn't be too surprised if 'akkumulatori' (which I know from Ukrainian is a word for vehicle-batteries) is something that is used in this context in Russian as well. Dan, here in New York we call the gas that heats our house “home heating gas” or just heating gas. It is universally understood that this is gas in a gaseous state of element. If we say “I’m going to fill the car up with gas” then it is universally understood that we mean gasoline ( petrol in Europe ). The formula you used to figure out cost is similar to how we find out the measurement for heating gas. Thank you for all your videos. It's interesting the gas lines are above ground. Here in America we bury gas lines (mostly), especially in residential areas. We don't actually see the gas lines, but it also means when we dig in the ground we often have to contact the city first to mark any gas lines in the area. This is not always the case but is dependent on where you live. We know where in the ground our gas lines are, but having them in the ground inevitable leads to some accidents where people strike gas lines with shovels while digging. I wish yall the best and hopefully things get better overtime.

What your parents have on their walls is called a radiator and instead of radiators, I have hydronic baseboard heaters. My system runs off of propane gas OR an outside wood burner that burns huge logs. If we use the propane gas only, it costs about $700 per month to heat our house in winter (and spring and fall).
