Swapnil Tambe is doing his best to solve but sadly NPP is an obstacle. However there are teachers who doesn't deserve to be teachers based on their inability and irresponsibility to fulfill their duties. There are teachers under deficit pattern who did not fulfill the norms of a teachers. And there are schools who have 5 students with 2 teachers. So many factors are contributing to the downfall of education in Meghalaya.

I Wonder why every time we are talking about Teacher's Regularisation, Salary increment of Teachers, There is always a questions of Teachers qualification and skills or SMC's appointment as a problem??? But when it comes to burdening the Teachers with all kinds of work like Election duty or deputed Teachers as BLO's,and other additional official work like UDISE etc. The government did not see any limitations in Teachers and not Lacking in any SKILLS ???😡😡 I totally agree with Sir Batskhem, that Our Beloved State.Meghalaya should get the Title of "The Land of Teachers Agitation."

Meghalaya had not considered Education as a vehicle of transformation,it had never put education to the top priority, Lack of foundation in lower primary classes 2teachers teaching for 7classes😂😂😂😂 once foundation course is not upto a standard level, so number of drop outs rises, only private schools could afford one teacher in one class.

one of my relative who got permanent job in teaching in govt school he go once a week or sometimes sent his substitute teacher n pay him 10k .. govt should do something about it .. thats why parents dont trust in govt school in education ...

So many extra activities the teachers have to do , conduct a class on health and mental abilities direct by sambandh atleast twice a weeks ,udise training and updating,,dewarming training , attend training conduct by sambandh.etc with limited teachers n number of activities.in meghalaya its like besides extra activities we have subjects .

First of all, Govt fails to pay salary teachers on time. If regularised employees get a salary every 1st of the month then why do teachers wait for more than 3 months sometimes.

Salary for teachers in Meghalaya not sometimes always. And till date once in three months every year. That is quarterly.Shame for MDA 2.Its really really pity for teachers Govt consider them like unhuman.

Considering the current state of the teachers, we find that the Government imposed so much unnecessary works to the teachers to the point that the teachers don't only teach but have to supervise many other works which take their time away from being able to give proper attention to the students. If we find that the current status of education in our state is going down we should not blame the teachers but the Government which imposed unnecessary burdens on them. Shillong had been the educational hub of the North Eastern region of the country for a long time however recently our rank is at the bottom of the list. Therefore there is an urgent need to overhaul it especially the policy framers.

TIMS MDM UDISE TSAP ANTI TOBACCO CAMPAIGN DEWORMING and so many many activities….. and we dnt get TA for fuel expenses to complete some of these work u have to go to education office or BDO office…. it’s a headache especially for head teachers/headmasters/principals….. atleast give extra 3-5k salary more for head teachers for that extra responsibility of all those activites plus teaching……genuinely can’t focus 100% on academics with so much activities forced upon the teachers…..

I thought Education in Meghalaya is down because.... ministers of Education Department is business mens Not scholars.... The 2024 courses in Primary School is quite amusing.... English Grammar is disappeared... How can we teach children about Grammar...... Also mathematics is not anymore in addition, subtraction, etc... ...the one who will read and learn maths now is like and to know only (e.g.the month of November is the 11th of the year.... In my opinion, I would to suggest that the best solution is to rationalize schools and follow the NEP structure (5+3+3+4). Additionally, in government amalgamated schools, there are teachers who were trained with a B.Ed. degree and appointed as secondary teachers, yet they are required to teach at primary, upper primary, and secondary levels without D.El.Ed. training or MTET certification. Therefore, implementing the NEP structure is the most effective solution. Teachers trained specifically for the lower primary level should teach only in lower primary schools, those trained for upper primary should teach at the upper primary level, and those trained for secondary should focus on secondary education from Class 9 to Class 12.

The introductory part of the session implies that the govt. over the years did not have any integrated vision or a road map focussing on education in this state. The frustrations expressed by the teachers are symptoms and manifestations of a much deeper malaise. The current dispensation has panned down on the problem of budget which appears to be spent mostly to meet the salary challenges. The state has to develop a holistic policy where the state must add to the central assistance financially. With the centre moving towards a reduction in the budget allocation and expecting the states to generate funds expresses that the previous govts have not been proactive and now we r looking at a growing problem. Today the world is seeing unprecedented transformation and like the govt representative rightly enunciates that they have to move towards rationalization. It is understandable that most of the teaching fraternity are disappointed and overburdened...

They didn't talk about why do teachers out in the street to hike their salary. Why education comes down, this is why given a particular topic for example 'environment' but they talk about sweepers.
