The Story Of M/S Viking Cinderella

I was on the first trip after it returned to helsinki-stockholm in 2024. I ended up there by accident. The partially renovated cabins were nice, it had a nice large TV even though it was a 2 person room on deck 8 with no window. No wifi, that sucked. I went on the Cinderella as a kid many times with my parents but I swear it felt much bigger then. Now, I feel almost as if it had barely any difference to Amorella and other ferries that are considered smaller. I thought it would be closer to the Symphony/Serenade, those ships aged better.

Was this ship named in the MS Estonia mayday call, as Estonia says ”Silja europa, viking, estonia” in the transscript as they were trying to contact a ship. I think i read on papers that this is the ship which estonia referred to by ”Viking”.

Viking line wanted to differentiate her from the rest of the fleet as she mainly served as a cruise ship earlier
