Great review Matt,this is the only rifle i would replace my current HW100kt with,i thought the HW Bullpup looked a bit odd when it was first released,but it has certainly grown on me since

I have the BPK. Soooo top heavy with an Airmax 30 SF - waiting for my compact variant to be delivered. I keep noticing a slight bit of play in the grip, even though everything is tight - you can feel it in you hand. Might be as it’s hollow it’s echoing something from the action... thoughts??? Other than that. It is so well built. Wipes the floor with my R10 for build quality and overall ‘Quality in the hand’. I’ll be opting for the Ratworks light weight cylinder this month - just to trim a bit of weight. Very happy!! Your review did it justice.

Sweet rifle and I love to see an Airgun safety that indicates the cocked status. Nice review Mat, slight shame there was no pest control session first this time though. Cheers. Russ

Hi great show as always, I would love to see an episode on your judging distance tools or tips. Particularly useful for the, out and about vermin shooter when the distance can end in a clean or messy affair. Elevated branching shots adjustments would be useful too.

This Weihrauch HW100 BP really looks interesting, and I've just checked on-line with the only dealer here in Canada, for Weihrauch, but no stock yet. All the other Weihrauch's, seem to be available, so I think I'll just start saving up my coins and see if the HW100 KT will give me what I'm looking for. When I see one of these 'Shooting Show Airgun videos in the 'in-box' then I know it's going to be an interesting few minutes. Thanks again, Mat.

I have owned a couple of HW100 sports in the past,cracking guns but I tend to change my guns on a regular basis but to be honest have not owned any better than the HW100 . Among my armoury now is the Air Arms Galahad Bullpup though a little heavy is a very accurate gun..My only complaint about it would be the weak indexing post which on occasions failed to rotate the pellet magazine..That problem is now sorted as I bought the new mk2 version of the post and now it never fails to index..I may once again buy another HW100,the Bullpup though....

Does the side lever allow a lefty to keep his sight picture or would I have to move off to reload?

Hi Matt. Love my Hw110k but not sure on this. Managed to buy a Fx impact mk2 last week to tick the bullpup itch. Keep up the good work. All the best

I don't know why they don't pull the action block far to the back to make it real bullpup, also to accommodate longer barrel and keeping the length as short as possible. HW should also move to using bottle and adding extra plenum and external adjustable power, this I believe will make it the best airgun ever made, considering that HW build quality and reliability is the top one.

04:36 hw100 bp doesn't have regulator are you sure?
@doughroasterbushcraftandsu39474 жыл бұрын
KSK Enterprise they’ve always denied it’s regulated since they first released the HW 100 and it doesn’t use a regulator like other manufacturers use they do something really crafty in the valving (typical German engineering) so technically it is regulated but without a separate regulator fitted 🤪👍🏻

Daystate guns with the exception of the Huntsman are in the £1400+ bracket. This gun is not cheap but has a long way to go before it catches Daystate.

I don't mean to be rude, but I think your comment regarding the lack of a regulator in the common sense is rather confusing - ALL HW100 actions utilise regulation, including this BP model, but not in the common sense. To reiterate, this BP version of the HW100 is identical in every way to all other HW100 actions, except the rod actuated trigger, bridge over the action, and cocking lever re-routed using new rods and levers to act upon the original mechanism.

Mat, I have no doubt that the HW series of PCP's from Weihrauch are well made, and excellent rifles. I just don't understand their decision to not incorporate a regulator in their current line. They should just team up with Huma and get on that train. I have do doubt that your 10-shot string with the .177 at sub-12.ft.lbs. was very flat, but I think if you are going after larger quarry and would like the .22 FAC rifles, you'll see significant drop once you are off the power curve. The other criticism I've heard from other air gunners is the weight and capacity of the air tube on the HW100/110's. I think there are some aftermarket carbon fiber ones, but you shouldn't have to do that on a PCP of this quality and price point. The weight is relevant because you could argue, okay, this isn't a target shooting or plinking rifle, so who cares about shot count (meaning smaller tube)? However, if you are using this as a hunting tool, that's lugging around a good bit of unnecessary weight in the field. What has your experience been with your HW100? Is the power curve or shot count an issue for hunting or pest control? Don't get me wrong. I think Weihrauch makes some incredible air rifles. I have a HW95, and it is truly a work of art, and a fine example of perfect engineering! ATB, Michael

I listened to blokes like this and bought a 110. Big mistake. It has a really fiddly two handed magazine change and a difficult to find and noisy safety catch. A huge disappointment.
