@@TONYshoutout250- Not true. The heat exposed lin by forcing him to go left, which he couldn’t do, and they shut him down. From there, Lin sat out the rest of the season with a “knee injury”, so he wouldn’t get exposed further, so he could get a big contract with the rockets. With the rockets and beyond he was just a role player at best. That wasn’t Melo’s fault

I played against that guy back in the day-3rd, 4th, 5th grade. He was at West San Jose, playing for NJB. I remember him and another player who made a strong one-two punch. This guy was tall, even back then-an Asian kid who was just big, strong, and solid. He had that natural talent, you know? We were rivals for a couple of years, and I think his team beat us two or three times. We might have gotten them once. He used to frustrate the hell out of me, but looking back now, I don’t feel so bad anymore. Lol

Nah, that beat down you knew it was coming for sure. It's normal when you're a rook or rising star. Look at what happened to Caitlyn Clark, she experienced the same - no foul calls, double teams, cheap shots, over the top physicality, etc. But eventually, they figure it out. Not saying Melo did anything intentional but him coming back messed up the team chemistry and the play style. More iso-ball and less PnR. I'll also say JLin wasn't any S-rank player. He was solid player at best (really good at PnR) and just took his shot when it counted with the right pieces around him. But it sure was one hell of a ride.
